This was such a short and sweet ending to this series, and the ending was absolutely adorable.

I was looking forward to this book to see how Teddy and Xanders story developed and unfortunately I felt disappointed :/ Teddy felt like such a strong woman as a side character in the other books and this one she just had no confidence. I wanted so much more from her! I also feel like literally nothing was explained. Like Xander said he’d liked Teddy forever but it was never really given much of a backstory just I guess he was always obsessed with his best friend’s married younger sister? Also how old was Teddy? Did Xander get another job or was he just a stay at home dad? Teddy and her first husband’s relationship was given no thorough explanation either other than they were high school sweethearts and then he died. They transitioned into being in a relationship in a strange way and then all of a sudden teddy’s pregnant? I just have so many questions and I wanted so much more from them!! Also them going over a month without talking while he was fighting those wildfires and the fight before it?? So out of left field and I didn’t like it or the reunion! I wish the storyline was something different cause I’m supposed to believe Teddy was a widowed mother of two going on three and after losing her first love high school sweetheart husband moves on with Xander?? Someone I'm sure she knows but it also isn't clear their relationship up until this point? Grief and falling for someone doesn't have a time line obviously but it just felt strange I wish I had more context to all the relationship dynamics
