The Text by @clairedouglasauthor is a short story that is fast paced and definitely nail biting ! It is not easy for someone to write a murder mystery #whodoneit kind of story in 40 pgs ! Yes you heard that right 40 pages only ..So no complaints though the story line could have been slightly better ! Writing anything more about this short book will already be spoiling it for you !
The reason I picked it up was not only because it was soo short that I could finish it off during that boring , unrelated meeting I got puller into midway or this gorgeous book cover but mainly because I have read #thesistersbyclairedouglas a long time ago and I so freaking loved it ! That book is soo unpopular you guys am sure it did not receive all the love and attention it needed ! As for me I thoroughly enjoyed it and the twist just blew ma mind ! so when I saw this was from the same author I obviously signed up for it ❤️

Nice, crisp and short. Good style of writing, but the end was preety much predictable and that kinda didn't do it well for me. But overall I'd give a 4 star cause it was a good 20min read.

Such an easy short story to read, a good concept for a story.
Em is supposed to be going away for the weekend with her friends, but her boss Andrew has said that he doesn’t think he can spare her a week before they go. She sends a text to her boyfriend Stu where her phone autocorrects does to dies, although she discovers that she didn’t send it to her boyfriend at all… she sent it to her three friends at work. Unexpectedly, the next day it turns out that Andrew was in fact murdered and because of the text she sent, Em is a suspect to the police. Until En receives a note saying that she wanted him dead and so her wish was granted, which makes her suspect the three friends that she sent the text to.
This story did have me guessing the whole way through as to who had actually murdered Andrew and the ending was quite satisfactory. It was tense enough to keep me reading but short enough that I could read it in one sitting.

A short story. One text which might change the life of one or take the life of one. We will encounter a number of suspects and we might even start guessing the culprit, but it may be the other way around. Nice short suspense story. Loved it.

Loved The Sisters and wanted more by the same author. This is a nice little short story that I read in one go.
