It was too instantaneous love, it was all within 3 weeks.

A typical millionaire business man/secretary fluff piece but an annoying one because there is no real story line and she is just dramatic. What made it worse was that I listened to this via Audible and the narrators were fucking irritating.

This will make your eyes or ears bleed. Avoid.

Missy Johnson is known for her heartbreaking, soul crushing romance. THIS SERIES IS NOT LIKE ANYTHING ELSE SHE WRITES!!!!

Awkward Love is funny, awkward, and ridiculously entertaining. I Can Explain is beyond awkward. It's so far beyond awkward we need a new word to describe it. The blurb is only a glimpse at how badly this poor girl can mess up her own day. LOL!!

From smirking, to laughing, and even snorting, your reactions to I Can Explain will have you noticing a whole new side to this complicated author.

Oh and seriously where did I Can Explain even come from...I'm so glad Missy Johnson shares what's on her mind!

I felt like this book was okay. I liked the employee/boss dynamic. I felt that the book progressed a little quicker than I would've preferred, it would've been nice to have a little more tension build up or something. I felt that the way the MMC past was done, was really good. I liked the big reveal for his tragic past relationship. It really shows what kind of a person he is, that he kept things secret even when it didn't benefit him in the least.
I rated it a 3.75 because I really didn't like the miscommunication trope. I don't mind a little bit of this trope in a book, but I felt like this was ALL over the book. We'd get to a new scene and I'd think, how are we going to miscommunicate this? And then it would happen. I felt if the FMC would stop running and just hear the MMC out, and if the MMC would just be honest and insist on talking, then half the problems wouldn't have existed in the first place.
