Lovely, Lovely, Lovely

That describes pretty much all this book.

Stephanie Perkins just knows how make my heart melt with the cuterness.I really love all her books, and even when the first one is my favorite, I think that in this book we can appreciate more "realistic" characters. I mean, I really LOVE Anna, Lola, Etennie and the others, but Isla knows what she want, and I´m not talking about her future or that kind of things, I´m talking about that she like Josh, and even if it took her 4 years, when she saw the opportunity, she took it, and always said the truth and the things clearly.

I like Josh in "Anna and the french kiss", but in this book we can finally can see the real Josh, the boy that love the art and is funny, interesting, intelligent, caring, nervous around a girl and really, really adorable.

The one thing that "bothers me" is Isla friend, Kurt, I dont know, I have the feeling that we don´t see much of him, even when is a very important part of Isla life. I don´t know, maybe I´m just weird and I have to find bad things in everything, but beyond that this last book is WONDERFUL, CUTE, LOVELY, and all the synonyms for that.

Is a very good type of clause for this trilogy, and if you haven´t read any of the books of Stephanie Perkins you should definitely do it, like right away.

Isla and Josh for ever <3

When I first got the book, I read everyone saying how it was the least good (if not to say the worst) one of the three.

So I read not expecting much and I am happy to say that I was surprised. In the best way possible.

I now think that it is the best one by far because we get to experience part of the relationship we didn't get to see in the first two ones although we did see Anna and Étienne along with the story of Lola and Cricket, we actually didn't get to see any tough times they might have had.

Then I also really really liked Josh in the first book. I thought his character was amazing and I was kinda sad to learn he would be left behing when they all graduated. Then we also had met Isla during the first book and I liked how she stood up to Amanda when Anna punched her. She actually helped Anna escape detention or whatever she might have been facing. And even in that little cameo she did we already found out she was madly in love with Josh.

Therefore the book started on a good base. Then I loved how they got together and how they lived with each other their oh-so-cute love story. And even when it got tough, they still managed to stay together. I am gonna stop right here on their relationship because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who'll like to read it.

Plus the book goes back in Paris in SOAP where we met the all gang along with Anna.

Anyway, just as in Lola and the Boy Next Door, we get to see some old faces back. Anna and Étienne of course, but also Lola and Cricket and last but not least Meredith, who we can all relate to because who hasn't seen the boy you love falling in love with some other girl (even harder when she is one of your friends).

And the way it ends is just perfect.
I wish it had been longer though. But we don't always get what we want.

So I would definitely recommand this book for everyone who loved the first two ones.

I give it 5 stars but if I could I'd give it more. :)

OMG THIS BOOK, HUM THIS BOOK!!
It was soooo lovely and adorable and painful and heart warming and more painful and happy and such goals, teen goals, crush goals, love goals. It was one hell of a ride, this book was, but it was so lovely.
I loved how Isla figured it out that maybe it's okay not knowing what to do with your life, something that, not only myself, most teenagers pass through. I really liked to see Isla's insecurities and how important was to see her grow kinda out of it. I wish Kurt was more involved in the end, but it's like Charlie (From perks) once said: "Things change. And friends leave. And life doesn't stop for anybody.
But, overall, Anna and Isla are my fav from this wonderful trilogy.

P.S. WHO SCREAMED WHEN ST CLAIR PROPOSE TO ANNA? THAT WAS SO AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

SO GOOD SO GOOD I'M SCREAMING

Hjertevarme karakterer, spændende konflikter, og mange interessante spørgsmål at tænke over. Den kan varmt anbefales!

Sometimes, you fall in love because you're in the right place- the timing is right, the place is right, they say the right things, and there's this feeling of rightness to it. This book made me fall in love.

It was the right time and place for me. I've held off reading this book for whatever reason, but when I started reading it two days ago I felt like I knew Isla. Right now, I am Isla. I'm studying abroad, I have a logical friend who won't take any of my crap, and this hideous crush that appeared all too suddenly for my liking. And so when I settled myself within the pages of Isla's story, I felt like Stephanie Perkins was writing my very own happily-ever-after.

This book is a beautiful addition to her series for a number of reasons. For one, it gives closure to Anna and Lola's stories and brings all your favorite characters for a moment that leaves you giggling and punching the air in victory as Stephanie Perkins fulfills your thoughts that THESE GUYS SHOULD ALL HANG OUT. It's glorious. I'm especially pleased that Isla expands past our initial impressions of her as the shy, introspective type to being someone who isn't afraid to ask the hard questions. Josh isn't entirely the artist rebel-without-a-cause and Perkins isn't afraid to explore why he feels that way in traditional nice-girl-falls-for-the-bad-boy fashion, but allows Josh's inner romantic to shine. As always, she gives a sense of depth to her characters that makes them almost family to you by the time you finish the last page, a friendly intimacy that is a kind of magic not all authors can muster.

Her descriptions of Paris are perfect and dreamy as always, but this time she explores Madrid and Manhattan in the breathlessness of new love that leaves the reader aching for more. Unfortunately, she is only able to explore these areas for a short time due to plot which I found disappointing. I believe one of the greatest strengths of Anna and the French Kiss was the gradual progression of Anna opening herself up to Paris and discovering it for herself of the course of the year.

The romance between Isla and Josh felt sweet and unfolded naturally. The dates themselves were fun and sparked with the pair's chemistry. However, as any romance must, the pair's baggage and insecurity eventually showed its ugly head. Just like in Lola and the Boy Next Door, Perkins tiptoes around issues while putting her own words in the character's mouth, a skill she has polished since we met Lola's dads in the previous book. Isla's autistic best friend, Kurt, brought extra drama to the relationship as her platonic soulmate and further complicated matters. Watching Josh interact with Kurt was interesting and gave the readers insight into communicating with someone who's brain works differently than most in a place (Isla and Kurt's friendship) where this was already normal. Isla's relationship with her sister, Hattie, was also a great look at how siblings handle one another as we grow up. No spoilers, it reminded me of my own relationship with my brother.

This book let me live out my happy ending with Isla and, personally, I think it was just the right book at the right place in my life. When I finished reading it I immediately wanted to thank Stephanie Perkins for giving me something that made a bit more sense of where I'm at. Like her previous books, Perkins gives you the literary equivalent to really good chocolate- sweet, smooth, and makes you hungry for more. If you like beautiful, clever books with characters you'd love to have as your friends, this is the book for you. 4/5 on a regular day

I loved this book so so much! Isla and Josh were perfect for each other. I loved the ending with the happily ever after! I loved Josh, I loved Isla, I loved that Lola en Cricket made an appearance and I absolutely loved the St.Clair and Anna scene. I shivered, actually shivered with happiness and glee, during this entire story.

This was sweet and well written and about a middle child. Perkins is gifted. Such a sweet, fluffy story. I will be reading more of Perkins and her lovely characters.

It's rare that I cry for happiness from a book. And I did for this one. I love it. I've been devouring Stephanie's books, she is a wonderful writer. I had the absolute joy of getting to meet her for an autograph at LeakyCon, and she is so lovely. This book is so lovely, and the inclusions of her other characters in the stories, as a way to develop and expand their storyline, while still keeping the book true to the protagonist of the story is wonderful.
I'm constantly rereading her books, I love the love within them. And I love her thank you's, the beautiful love she expresses to her husband. I look forward to a love like that. Thanks, Stephanie. <3
