I can hardly believe that this a debut author. This book is just so beautifully written and expertly paced. I wanted to know how the past and present linked. A brilliant read and an author I will look out for in the future

BUT it was a very casual read. Not the best, not the worst, it made me chuckle and smile sometimes, sometimes it made me a little bit shocked or sad, and sometimes it bored me.

A page-turning, cleverly plotted dual time line novel. The sense of place provided some much needed escapism, while the sense of danger and romance kept my heart pounding.
