Read this for the second time, enjoyed it even more this time!
Funny and despicably depressing at times. Showing his humor in ways that are demeaning and the filth of destruction that show the realities of war out on display. There’s also aliens. Quite a fascinating read as you jump from different points in Billy’s life that sometimes it starts to make sense and jumps before you grasp the hang of it.
Enjoyed the raw and honest storytelling with a touch of humor to help stir it up. Felt very cinematic at times, even though what I was envisioning was just very weird at parts (mainly the futuristic scenes).

My first Vonnegut book. Enjoyed it, but I'm going to put off reading more of his stuff until I'm older. I couldn't shake the feeling that I wasn't properly appreciating what I was reading. The description of war backwards was unexplainably brilliant, however.
