This is not my usual genre, but I was curious about this book. I found some parts quite interesting, but some of them soooooo boring, like “cmon, let’s move on from this”

This book is interesting to me. I picked it up because I've had a suspicion that a friend of mine might be a Sociopath. Since they aren't diagnosed its just a hunch. Reading this book definitely makes me think even more that they are in fact an undiagnosed Sociopath.

This book is being pretty harshly criticized for having an author that is narcissistic.....did we read the same synopsis. Isn't the point of the book to talk about sociopathy. And isn't narcissism like one of the most common traits of a sociopath. I'm kinda confused about people being upset about that. Anyways I thought this book definitely put what true sociopathy is. Which is why I think my friend is one. But they are still a very important part of my life and they have never hurt anyone just....won't do anything or be friends with anyone unless they get something out of it.

This book was written to better understand sociopaths and in my opinion it did just that. So even though a lot of the things the author talked about kind of upset me I kept in mind the reason I picked up this book. It does exactly what its meant to do. I now understand more about sociopaths that are not criminals. Overall this book was hard to get through but very informative.
