Didn't love the pacing, it often felt very repetitive and I find it hard when I'm not rooting for any of the characters
there was a lot of hype around this book but i found most of it pretty boring until the last 20%

the book was quite engaging, primarily because i found myself constantly debating whose side to take, adam's or amelia's. i changed my mind with almost every chapter. however, the story began to feel a bit slow in the middle. toward the end, it picked up some excitement, but unfortunately, it soon returned to a more dull pace.

WOW okay this book really got me. i wasn’t expecting half of the twists to even occur?? idk i was believing things in the beginning and genuinely thought this book was about a ghost horror story so i barely slept while reading due to being TERRIFIED of the dark
This started off with such creepy vibes. You've got clear tension between a husband and wife heading to a remote cabin — in the dead of winter, no less — which immediately sets the stage for something ominous.They've both hinted that someone’s definitely not making it out alive. But as the story unfolds, it starts to drag; we end up circling the same emotional beats without much progression. Then, just when it’s almost too late, we’re hit with two major revelations.
So, 3.5 stars for me.
