Good, not as captivating as Greenglass House, but just as magical.
I feel like I’m giving this 3 stars even when it wasn’t really that good. This book felt really bloated when it didn’t need to be, and rushed both in the timeline and in the ending events. The magic of the first book was lost a little without those tiny hints of the mystery unraveling throughout the book and there are much less action scenes to break up the mystery pacing. I think the plot was there, it just needed more refinement to really measure up to the last book. And I do wish we had more Milo and Meddy friendship because I felt like we were lacking them in this book.
Ghosts of Greenglass House is a fun, magical, new mystery to solve, but with the same cast of characters and same great setting I came to love from the first book. I hope Kate Milford continues to add stories to the Greenglass House series.
I had a hunch about one character that was true but I love how complex all the characters are and the eccentricities they all bring to the table.
Wow!! Friends, this is such an incredible book. I am enamored by Milford's ability to write cozy mysteries and still deal with internal struggles. I love this world and the storytelling and the world building. And now I want to go look up Christmas folklore from different cultures
