Perfect Winter Break read! So happy to return to this fascinating setting.
I suddenly realized during this book that this series would be utterly perfect to read aloud to your children. It has adventure, storytelling, and charming, poignant life lessons. Just so cute and engaging even for an adult.

I fear this book suffered from the same thing "Greenglass House" suffered from: too many dang characters that I couldn't keep straight.
I do think it is worth mentioning that in both books, the main characters create a list of the "suspects" and say they can refer back to it. Perhaps this is the author's way of acknowledging that it's hard to keep the characters straight. Expect when you're listening to an audiobook, there is no reference page to turn back to.
That said, I saw 2 of the reveals coming. But I still enjoyed the book and that heartfelt ending was everything.

Really enjoyed the first Greenglass book. This one didn't come together quite as well. But the setting and the characters remain very charming.

book was good, I love the bond between the father and daughter even tho they are dead, it was sad how they die tho
I don’t think the plot of this one was quite as tight as with the first one, but in terms of enjoyment and vibes, this is just as good as the first one. I will say I’ve already looked at the prompts for the other books in the series and I’m disappointed that they follow side characters instead of Milo and Meddy. I mean, I understand that it would be hard to write other books from Milo’s perspective that don’t seem repetitive and Meddy’s character arc seems to have come to its natural conclusion with this book, but I’m still gonna miss having them as the main characters.
