As the second part of a duet, Losers dives deeper into the characters, especially the boys, but I’m not entirely convinced it needed to be a two-part series. While we gain more insight, much of the book focuses on group play, which, although engaging, felt like it overshadowed the emotional development I was craving.
Maybe it just wasn’t the right time for me to read it, who knows? That said, Book One was phenomenal and completely hooked me, but this book didn’t provide the closure I needed. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite hit the mark.

This whole adventure has been the hottest ride I’ve ever experienced. All of it has been definitely character driven with lot of spice and a smidge of plot but it was WILD and fantastic. I loved every single character and how they deeply loved one another— I nearly teared up a few times while finishing up the last couple of hundred pages of this story. x

The characters and spice deserve all the stars; every spicy scene hit that wow factor for me. However, the pacing and the substantive plot built in the first book, were a bit lacking in the sequel. Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather have the spice than Reagan, but I just felt like the conclusion to a lot of big plot points fell flat.

🖤 Best read I’ve had in ages – hands down.🖤
This picks up right where Part 1 ends, and honestly, you can’t read one without the other. I debated combining my thoughts into one review, but that would be a disservice to both books—they each deserve their own spotlight.
This installment picks up right where the first leaves off and continues to deliver. It hit just as hard as the first. Somehow, it wrecked me and healed me at the same time. Is that even possible? Because that’s exactly what it did. The emotion, the filth, the heartbreak, the beauty, the raw vulnerability. I am still reeling. Harley Laroux’s writing is spellbinding. The way she balances trauma, healing, kink, and group dynamics? Masterful.
This is the most powerful smut I've ever read. And no, that's not an exaggeration.
I’m talking beautifully written, gorgeously depraved, emotionally loaded, fully consensual filth.
And it’s so much more than spice.
Harley Laroux has officially cemented herself at the top of my author list. The way she weaves words into something filthy, raw, and yet so deeply emotional is a talent I can’t get over. If I could give this duet 6 out of 5 stars, I would. Actually… who says I can’t?
⚠️ Note: If you’re new to MM or not sure how you feel about it, just know this book leans heavily into MM dynamics and does not hold back. If that’s not your vibe yet, maybe shelf this for a bit. But if you love MM and bi/poly stories? This duet is a must-read. The intimacy and connection in these scenes aren’t just spice—they’re beautifully written, filthy perfection.
If you saw my review for The Dare, you already know I accidentally read this duet first. Now I’m off to devour The Dare immediately because I need everything Harley Laroux has ever written.
