A long time coming after seeing "Hell is other people" referenced so often; Analyzed for its Hegelian Master-Slave dichotomy and as a complaint against malicious game theory nerds in video games.

Its just beautiful and succinct and tragic, impressive throughout and the weight of eternity really beings to pull on human spirit's whose very natures are designed to torture each other.

I remember reading this several years ago but only the first few pages. I’ve been trying to find the title again for a while and yesterday I finally did it! I read the whole thing quickly and felt so fulfilled afterwards. This is such a particular way of describing hell that seems chilling even when there’s no torturer. It also made me think about The Good Place and how maybe they were inspired by this play. I loved it.

FUckin FUNY. LAFD OUT LAUD. .

top 3 fav short pieces ever

I picked this one up because it was mentioned in The World’s Strongest Librarian (love it when books mention other books!). When it was introduced in there, I thought it had a very interesting premise. Three people (one man and two women) are in a waiting room in hell. They are waiting to be tortured, so to pass the time they talk with each other and reflect on what got them into hell. It was very entertaining! Very quick to read and follow what is happening. I feel like it lived up to the hype and I’m glad that I was able to find it through another author’s recommendation.
