I havent finished but im over half way through so i think that counts...this was. awful!
So many people said this book was like the PINNACLE of homegirl’s career and I just- it was good! I enjoyed reading it. It just wasn’t amazing.
There were lots of shocking graphic material. Homegirl be throwing all her punches and there were a few that had me like oh Jesus.
The first chapter fucked me up, I read it while sitting in a city hall for my job and was like

It was like reading a true crime tv show script. I loved the layers and figuring out who was in on it and who wasn’t. Although after watching so much of these shows it was fairly easy to figure out. But I loved the details and how it didn’t really skip anything so you knew what was happening at all times.
Closer to 3.5 rather than a full 4 stars. Definitely a page-turner for me. A bit too graphic in its descriptions at certain times, but obviously very effective.
