This is an exceptional series. The attention to detail is unparalleled. Also, the writing by Kaufman and Kristof is immensely entertaining and feels very real to the situation. Cannot recommend enough!

Overall a fine conclusion to the story. As the story goes on it feels less believable and was easier to guess what would happen. I was still invested in the main characters but I was ready for it to just be wrapped up. I would have loved a little more of a peek into life afterwards for everyone.

I read these along with the full cast audio. It was an interesting and truly immersive experience. There were things in each that would have been easily missed if not used together. Codes broken for you in the audio. Amazing visual and multimedia effects that you can't get from the audio alone. The story was well written and enjoyable but the creativity the authors use for its structure was cinematicly brilliant.
The characters growth and world building is too notch. You can't help but love this cast. Anyone who enjoys epic space stories need to experience this series. 5 stars is not enough.

The stunning ending to the ILLUMINAE files was piled up with an amazing plot, beloved and hated characters and a very, very satisfying, jaw-dropping ending!
Kady and co have to go back to Kerenza where the private soldiers of the evil company BeiTech have the remaining citizens under the martial law. The new characters Rhys and Asha, meanwhile, find themselves torn between love and duty while time is running out for everyone.
Literally, I was very anxious as I turned the pages and those two clocks were coming closer and closer to the end. Not to mention that they felt like ticking bombs. The story involves everyone and through the files, the pictures, and that amazing small comic I was actually wondering who was going to die. Because both authors have proved to be master geniuses when it comes to tearing your heart to pieces.
I didn't expect the ending AFTER the ending! WOW, I'd pay to have more books made just for THAT remaining character! ;)
