What a great way to end a such groundbreaking series. I loved all the characters coming together in this third volume and finding a way to prevail under impossible odds. Now I'm off to go find more from these authors!

This was the perfect end to a perfect series. Definitely my favorite series, too. I can’t recommend these books enough!
A few of the formats were a little confusing, especially during the final conflict, which made it a bit irritating to read, but other than that, the format did nothing but enhance and better the story!
The emotional rollercoaster was amazingly done, if exhausting. I read the last 150-200 pages in a single sitting (unheard of in my life otherwise) because I so desperately needed to see how everything turns out.
I could never have imagined how much these books would impact my life. They are by far the best books I have ever read. To the amazingly talented authors - thank you.

The thrilling conclusion to a beautiful series. Love the description of war and the humanization of enemy soldiers, as well as one's duty to what is right.
RATING - 5 STARS
My sweet babies I love you all so much
(Like maybe it was a 4.5 but I love them all so much i can’t not give it a 5)

Occasionally, I will love a sequel just as much as the first book in the series, as was the case with Gemina. NEVER have I loved the third book in a series more than the first one. Obsidio blew me away. In a good way. I was quite literally shaking in anticipation during some parts of the story while simultaneously gasping out loud and crying during others. Amie and Jay have created a series unlike any other, and I am so glad to have read them, even if they ripped my heart out on multiple occasions.
BUT.
On to the actual review of Obsidio.
The war that started in Illuminae has finally come to a close, and it's as gritty and heart-pounding and heart-wrenching as you expected. Our favorite murderous artificial intelligence AIDAN is back along with Kady, Ezra, Hanna, Ella, and Nik, along with new characters Asha and Rhys. All of these characters are so raw and real that I couldn't help but be pulled once more into their story. And wow, it's one heck of a story these authors tell.
*spoilers incoming*
What I LOVED about Obsidio:
-is it bad to say everything? Because, honestly, everything. I loved it all.
-but more seriously, I loved the way Isaac Grant became a father-figure to every single one of those "kids" as they had to deal with situations and moral dilemmas most adults don't have to deal with
-Ella's goldfish is still around
-AIDAN. I just love AIDAN, even if he is an AI and he does kill a ton of people and most of the fleet in Illuminae. Because he does it all to save one girl with fading pink hair
-the colonists on Kerenza IV fighting for their lives and their families, even if it meant self-sacrifice on their part
-the moral dilemma Rhys faces as he's suddenly thrust into the middle of a war zone after seven months in space not knowing what was truly happening and what his corporation was doing
-Asha protecting a child and hiding her for seven months despite the risk to her own life
-I could keep going, but I won't because you just need to read the series for yourself to grasp how dear and wonderful this story is
Things I hated:
-nothing. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS.
-this is one of those rare series/books that is actually perfect
I have a feeling I'll be re-reading this series every year for the rest of my life, because I will never get enough of these characters and their story and this perfect, perfect book. I CANNOT WAIT for Amie and Jay's next co-written series.

I want to be transported to live inside this series.
An epic ending to an amazing series, I need more AIDAN!!!

i’m usually not much for sci-fi but this is one of my absolute fav book series ever and i’m most definitely gonna reread this in the future
Man, I kind of forgot how good this series was. I had this book collecting dust on my shelf for more than a year or two as I never got around to read it. But now I'm glad I did. It was one hell of a finale. I was at the edge on my seat towards the ending because it was INTENSE. I'm glad the conclusion was satisfying, I mean it has to be, considering all the characters here has been suffering since book one.
