The amount of times I was giggling and blushing throughout this book is actually insane. I thoroughly enjoyed An Enchantment of Ravens and had so much fun reading it. I definitely agree with my favorite booktuber, Caricanread, who says that this book is written like a fairytale. Truer words have never been spoken. The main part I enjoyed about this book was the romance. It was extremely fast-paced yet very believable and well done, which is a hard combination to achieve. Rook is the love of my life and Isobel made a wonderfully clever protagonist (and their chemistry is amazing as I said earlier)! All in all a wonderful book that I very much recommend!

A standalone fantasy with very cozy autumn vibes and a rather light-hearted, easy to read story.
The book left a lot of questions unanswered in my opinion, and the ending felt rushed. I also didn't particularly like the insta-love, although that is rather a personal preference.

This story was so charming.

I loved the characters and the world Margaret Rogerson built in this book and would've only loved this story more if there were more books set in the world described. Margaret's prose was cozy and a bit whimsical, like snuggling into a perfectly worn-in sweater. This story was exactly the palate refresher I needed after a little reading slump.

I adored Rook and Isobel and I am glad I started my first experience with Margaret Rogerson's work by reading her debut. I have had Sorcery of Thorns and Vespertine sitting on my shelf and now I know I will likely love them as well.

3.5 stars for the autumnal vibes, nature writing, and depiction of fae folk.

Unfortunately, this book suffers from insta-love and the "she's not like other girls" trope. Also the age gap is a tad creepy, but at least the male love interest isn't as creepy as a certain sparkly vampire. And the MC has an actual personality.

I really liked this. It was a cool take on fair folk/human relations. The romance was a lot more love-at-first-sight than I typically like, but it didn’t really detract from my enjoyment.
