After reading this book, I have come to the conclusion that creepy horror type books are not my thing. Did it keep me reading until the very end? Sure.. but definitely not something I will want to read more of.

I’ve seen reviews saying this book reminds them of the show Stranger Things and I can see that. Although I have never watched it myself, I get the gist of what the show is like. So, if you love that show, then this is probably the book for you.

I actually quite liked this. It very much had Stranger Things vibes with a bunch of kids trying to solve this little towns mystery. I really liked the writing and it played out like a movie in my head which is always a bonus with these kinds of books! I wouldn’t say it was scary but it definitely had a creepy vibe to it.

The creepiness was a little too heavy handed at times- whatever was going on with Abby’s mom confused me- but I enjoyed the story overall and I liked the relationships between the characters.
