I can’t say that I really enjoyed the book, but mostly because it was creepier than I was ready for. It is well written, suspenseful, and intriguing.

This book is suspension, tension, and a pit in your stomach without being too much. Contains elements that are reminiscent of "It" while being its own unique scary story. The small down of Doubtful is plagued by a century's worth of disappearances. A group of friends are forced to face the monster behind the local legend when one of their own is taken.

I read this book as a buddy read with a friend. Though I would have agreed anyway, I sort of "double agreed" after knowing a different friend had already read it and really enjoyed it.

I really don't have much to say about this book other than to say that I thought it was really good; it kept me engaged and interested. It had me a little emotional in some spots and in others forgetting to breathe.

I loved this book. I loved the Jackrabbits. I loved this book.
It was such an engaging, fun read that felt really unique and different from a lot of the horrors I've read. I was invested in the overall story AND the characters, which was a pleasant surprise since I don't always feel like Coates' characters are a strong point (not that they're bad - they're just very copy and paste and used to fill out a specific story.) Super creepy and dreadful. I thought the Stitcher was so much FUN, which probably isn't the right word but oh well.
It gives me big vibes of It, The Descent, and Until Dawn.

wow darcy does it again. gripping, atmospheric, tense. there are scenes that will never leave my minds eye. 10/10 must read!

Fun creepy horror story. The main group was likeable. The
monster
was creepy and pretty creative.
although I don’t know how any of those kids thought it was a serial killer and not a monster when the signs of the stitcher coming was electronic disturbance, uptick in animal mutations, and the mom digging more holes in the backyard…

The audiobook narrator was really good. All of the voices she gave to the characters were really clear without any of the voices being obnoxious.

Very fun and scary. Deffinitly giving "It" vibes with kids ripping around town and underground with a murderer.
The thread spiderweb situation was cool but I though trying to avoid triggering the threads was going to be more of a thing, but they didn't seem to care at all and it didn't really matter so okay
