En del pet peeves i fortellerperspektivet, men spennende og med god driv, en sjarmerende stranger things-aktig monsterfortelling.

I was so creeped out while reading Where He Can't Find You - jumping at my reflection and every insignificant sound creeped out. It's a great horror novel, but not for the faint of heart. I don't think it's a book I'd need to read again, but horror novels are books that are often not nearly as good re-reads as some things. I would recommend it to readers who enjoy being thoroughly scared and don't mind books that get very dark (figuratively and literally).
3.5/5 stars. Good book to start off 2024. Definitely want to read more of Darcy Coates books

this was a quick and v scary, read; i also read it at night so that probably added to the spookiness.
Whenever you find a web of red thread, a horrific scene isn’t far away. The Stitcher Man has been taking and mutilating people in this town for years. Just follow the rules and you’ll be fine. Right? Until your little sister gets taken and now breaking rules is your only option to getting her back.

This gave me Animorphs or Stranger Things vibes. I also didn’t realize it was listed as YA until I came here to review lol. Darcy Coates is a pretty consistent 3 star read for me, BUT this is my favorite 3 star read from her. So, maybe I’ll bump it to 3.5. Not bad.
