This gave me Animorphs or Stranger Things vibes. I also didn’t realize it was listed as YA until I came here to review lol. Darcy Coates is a pretty consistent 3 star read for me, BUT this is my favorite 3 star read from her. So, maybe I’ll bump it to 3.5. Not bad.

This was my second horror book and it was soooo good! I really enjoyed the details about the scenery, the plot played out so well that I didn’t know what was going on. I literally had this book on my mind all day and I got a little paranoid too lol

This book was not what I was expecting but Darcy does horror like no other. I couldn’t put the story down and I liked the lore and then main characters “won’t stop” attitudes and bravery.

This was a good book and kept me entertained. I saw another review comparing this book to Stranger Things, and I 100% agree. If you enjoyed Stranger Things, I would definitely recommend this book.
