Based on a true story I truly enjoyed the book but often felt more like I was reading case files.. I did the audio book so maybe it was how it was read to me... but to the men and women this is based on, thank goodness for people like you!
Our justice system is horrifically flawed.
This 'based on a true story' book follows the work of some of the wonderful humans that fight these injustices, and gives insight into the plight of the innocent victims, wrongfully convicted of crimes they didn't commit.

Not my favorite Grisham book. The plot was good, but I felt like it dragged a bit at the end.
Have Tissue Handy
I’ll admit to being a Grisham fan so am perhaps a bit biased. This book was incredible and held my attention throughout but the second half was especially spellbinding. Have tissues handy! I was in tears several times at the end. The story is based on truth and speaks to why there shouldn’t be a death penalty. It could be right out of the Bryan Stevenson archives. I highly recommend.

John Grisham at his finest - if you like his work, you'll enjoy this one.
One of Grisham’s best. I have read almost every Grisham novel. This is at the top of my best Grisham’s, along with A Time to Kill. I “read” it on Audible and the narrator was perfect for this story. There were times when the story almost brought me to tears. I appreciated the author’s note at the end where he talks about how the book came to be.
Sensational. I know he doesn't cite it as inspiration, but I couldn't stop thinking about Just Mercy. A great read, start to finish!
