This is my first book I have read in this series and I will go back to read the others because I am now invested....or is it stockholm syndrome I am experiencing? Either way I want more! As always read the TW with these books because your mental health matters.
Kayla King is a strong and bada** FMC! Her reputation definitely proceeds her and she is Ruthless like they all say about her. But Kayla is who put Nate in jail and she doesn't know what is in store for her when she finds out Nate is free.
Nate is the definition of a psychopath and I am here for it. He wants to get revenge on Kayla for taking away 4 years of his life and whoa does Nate ever get his revenge....but also you kinda fall in love with him in the process.
I loved these two together! They were both so unhinged that they really just made so much sense together! There was banter and twists and turns in this book that kept you wanting more! I aboslutely loved that moments between Nate and Kayla when Nate would ask her to "Name it" for the emotions she was feeling that he couldn't read/understand in these moments you can't help but to fall for him because he is so sincere in wanting to understand.
I mean you are not supposed to fall in love with a psychopath but here I am wanting my own Nate because he would burn the world for Kayla and take out anyone who touches her.....and that's all we want right??

This book was a wild ride. Nathan White might be the most unhinged man I have read. Even though Nathan and Kayla are criminals and have a toxic history together, they are meant to be. He is the sun to her sunflower. I liked the moments where we see Nate's tough exterior slip and see a softer side of him. This is my favorite book the series!
I really liked the character development in both characters. We see so many sides to both Nate and Kayla and I love the different layers we get to see.
Ugh.... I'm so sad this series is over!
If you are a dark romance girlie, then I highly recommend this series.
