The advice is pretty basic and some of the information is now dated, but if you know nothing about social media this might be a good place to start. I think the specific examples of successful and unsuccessful brand attempts at social media were a nice addition to the book.

(This is a small complaint but I wasn't a fan of how the book was formatted with two columns per page.)

Extremely outdated, some entertainingly off predictions about how Google Glass was going to change the world.

Must read for those who work in (or alongside) social media, especially those starting out. Mind you, if you've been working in social media for a while and you're not already across these concepts in your day to day work, you've got some catching up to do. Loved this book, very pragmatic and what I've been trying to tell people for years!!

Read this for class, great knowledge that still applies today, despite the out of date info that comes up here and again.

Brilliant and easy to follow, this book is for anyone looking to understand social media how it works and for a great insight.
Very simply written to understand. Vaynerchuk delivers excellently.

Gary speaks in a refreshingly authentic voice and is a swift kick in the ass reminding all of us to be more resourceful with our time and ourFriends.

One of my favorite authors of all time — I highly recommend reading any of Gary's work.

Some good info in the first 30 pages, the rest was mostly irrelevant. The book is five years old so pretty much everything in social media has changed since then. You really can’t write a book about current social media dos and don’ts and expect it to be worthwhile longer than a year. I’d have loved a book that shared modern strategies to connect and engage as a business owner generally instead.

(It was kind of fun hearing how wrong his predictions were - he was infatuated with Vine and thought by now we’d be all over Google Glass. Hahahaha.)

Very interesting read and cleared up some questions I've had on certain social media platforms.

Really good stuff. Very informative about how the story you tell has to be tailored to the platform you are telling it on. Good examples of "this works" and "this doesn't". Now to actually apply what I've learned...
