Ah, it’s been two years since I read legends&lattes, one of my fav cozy books of all time. This prequel is all I hoped for.

I loved Legends and Lattes and this didn't disappoint! I loved the epilogue and to see what Viv was up to as a mercenary. Very cozy, but with an interesting plot and engaging characters.

After finishing the first book, I was really looking forward to a continuation of the story. I started the first half of the book optimistic but that first half felt slower paced than the original had so I put it down for a while. When I picked it back up I found the later half picked up the pacing and wrapped things up nicely. I really enjoyed the characters in this book and I loved reading about the sea, the pastries, and the books. I'm excited for the next installment.
