LOVELY BOOK! Cried soooo much that you could even call it sobbing. Like I literally had to go to the bathroom and dry my tears with a cold towel.
The Mountain Sings is in the format of a story told by Hương’s grandma, and it later pans back to her own story in the present! (If I remember correctly.) The importance of family, hope, and growth are prominent themes, and it is just beautiful despite the horrors in this book; bitter sweet. VERY bitter.

I don't want to rate this because I think I need to reread it in its physical form... I really hated the narrator who read the audio book and it made it so hard to follow.

I really wanted to like this more than I did. I feel like I should say, “It’s me not you”, I will admit that I did some skimming, but I was not able to keep track of the characters. Was Guava the grandma or was Hoang all three? I am confused.
