I was given a copy of this book as an ARC reader and I am so happy that I signed up to read it. It was a wonderfully paced and unique story.

I loved what I was provided about the world, characters, development, etc. And to be honest I also did enjoy that not every aspect of the world was given to me and I was able to build it out while reading. I know this is not for everyone but I find it refreshing if the story itself is set up this way and continues that way throughout the story (even if the writing style changes from book to book). I really liked the dynamics between some of the main character like Adelyn and Venlian, but I do wish there was more development with other characters and their relationships or backstories. There were also a few times I really wanted more information - who the Bannerets were/are and more of their story, more development following Adelyn's skills and gifts, and possibly more background surrounding the actions of other character. For example I thought it was wonderfully paced and great until the last few chapters where I would have loved more of the info leading up to the climax and the development before the end and into the next part of the series.

That said I also know that I'm not privy to the author's plans and world building and when you give information can be reflected in your plans for that world and multiple books. Like I would love to see side stories on different character, or world histories maybe that the dwarves had in their archives . . .

But over all it was a very good read, a fun read, and I am excited to read other things in the series and by this author in the future.

All that said if I look at it through the lens of a YA novel I think this would be/can be an amazing gateway book to a series or a genre.

It's... not necessarily bad, but I noticed that after half the book I still couldn't find a good reason to come back to this to keep reading and I kept putting it off, which isn't a good sign for me. Maybe I'll pick it up again in the future, or not, but for now that's been it.

The characters are very cute. It almost has a vibe like classic fantasy series I've read before. I both like and dislike that Adalyn is discovering her power has a new ability pretty consistently. The potential romance is very young and innocent. Cute story, not sure if I'll read more in the series.

This was a super fun ARC to read and I’m excited to see it published!

The only thing I didn’t quite enjoy was how quick everything went by. I felt like it jumped from one thing to the next. I would’ve loved to read more about the preparation for the war.

I also feel like in the very beginning it could’ve used a little more world building or description. I did love how many different creatures/“races” there were. It was an interesting touch to have elves and dwarves mixed in with spirits, or worldwalker if you may call them.

I did love the character growth and watching Adelyn move up in rank and power. I do love a female heroine story.

The growing bond between Nolan and Adelyn was really cute to watch as well, and I hope there’s more in the second book. However, I’m not sure why by I kinda like the “relationship” between her and Venlian?? I don’t know maybe it’s just from the way he wants to teach her and help her.

Other than that I couldn’t put the book down it was a very exciting and fast read, and I’m excited for the second book. Especially after that cliffhanger…

I'm terrible at giving good reviews. My only opinions in this case is was really good but I had a hard time following the time line of everything. Felt like everything happened in one week.

With covid brain rising and my reading slump ever increasing like many others out there. Sometimes you need a shorter satisfying book out there to help jolt you out of it. I was lucky enough to receive Worldwalker By Jamie Dalton as an ARC to read before the release date. I love receiving books from up and coming Authors who are diving into the big scary world that publishing can be. Jamie is certainly an Author I am exceedingly excited to watch grow. Look out fantasy Authors she’s coming for you. A fast paced read with a new take on fantastical magic not really seen before with comedy, and a sprinkle of some adorable heartwarming and heart quickening light romance. I honestly couldn’t have had a better book to end my slump. Upon release I plan to buy a copy myself as it is a must for any Y.A. Or fantasy reader. Better yet is realizing the sequel is already on it’s way with the the promise of many great things. After reading this one you’ll be begging for the next. Please do check out WorldWalker, follow the story of Adelyn, a strong well written and diverse female lead in a world not like our own where magic is awakening for the first time in five-hundred years.

Thank you for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

When I found this book on tiktok I was super excited because it was a Young Adult Fantasy story that seemed truly unique from other stuff I have read, and I was even more excited when I actually enjoyed the book.

The book was rather short when compared to most YA fantasy novels nowadays but I never really felt like I was missing out on things within the story. I had wished for some of the training to be shown to just further our main character’s story especially after she is given a weapon that is so connected to her abilities, and I feel like it would have helped me to understand her impulsiveness in some scenes. On the other hand though, the abilities of our main character, Adalyn, has felt really unique and I’m excited to see how they expand while her story continues in the sequel as they seem like they expand further than what we got to see in this book.

If you’re looking for a short fast paced young adult fantasy novel that has intriguing abilities and lots of action this is it.

I received this book as an ARC so thank you !

The author did a great job at setting the whole story line, the book is very fast paced so there were times when I had to go back and re-read something. I tend to read mostly fantasy so this was right up my alley. This is a YA Fantasy so sometimes I find it a little bit hard to relate to the characters but I enjoyed reading about Adalyn. The whole idea that she can world walk was pretty interesting an that definitely hooked me right from the start, I don't believe I've ever picked up a book with a similar concept about that so this was very interesting and I look forward to see where it goes from here.

This was a great book, definitely good for people who are getting started in reading fantasy

I really enjoyed Worldwalker. It kept my attention unlike other books I've read in the past. It only took me about a day to read it. It had some really good parts and the descriptions of things really made it come to life. The only thing that I wish there was more of is interaction between Nolan and Adalyn. I want to see how their relationship progressed and formed while practicing together. Otherwise good read!
