This book was so good, the Nick and Abby are to die for, a mean single father and the nanny is one of the most wonderful tropes. Abby is such a relatable FMC, nothin better than her. And Nick, gosh, so amazing and dreamy. Read this book, it is absolutely amazing and definitely worth adding to your TBR.

This is the last in this series of Varsity Dads. We have Nick and Abby who meet when Abby goes to interview to be His Nanny but then she backs into his car after the interview. I wonder if she will get a callback? Abby has been cheated on and has a lot of hurt and Nick is a single dad whose lost his girlfriend and mom to his child. Nick needs to focus on getting drafted and can’t afford any distractions. This story was very well written with a great array of characters! Great way to end this series!

I fell in love with Nick and Abby’s story from page one and only fell deeper the more I devoured their story. As a single dad in college trying to provide the best for his daughter while making a name for himself in football, Nick knows he needs help but not just anyone will do. When Abby tries to apply as the nanny for Nick all her mishaps makes her come off as a tad flighty so things don’t work out for her in that aspect until her and Nick keep running into each other and form a friendship of sorts. My heart hurt for Abby and all the things she’s been through with her ex, the incident with Nick, and the storm incident, but the way Nick is fiercely protective over her melted my heart. Watching as they became closer and how much love Abby had for Nick’s daughter was pure perfection.

Abby and Nick. She becomes his nanny, then friends with benefits. They both have a lot of baggage to work through and it’s so angsty. A teensy bit off because I wanted him to grovel more. I very much cannot wait for the next series with Paige!

Lex Martin's Varsity Dads series is so lovable and fun and romantic! I have fall in love with each installment, it is charming to watch these young men learn to balance their love for football and their love for their children and then women they fall for! Blindside Beauty has the added delight of a nanny romance and two people who might have started off on the wrong foot. Martin's writing is clear, fun and conversational, she perfectly balances the fears and unknowns of a young person at a precipice of change in their lives and she beautifully shows the strength of love and trust that you can give to another!

Blindside Beauty is Nick and Abby's romance. Nick is a single father to a delightful four year old daughter and quarterback hoping to get drafted in his last year in college. Abby is a young woman who has been studying early childhood development and plans to be a teacher. This two meet initially when Abby interviews to be Nick's nanny but after a little mishap she is not hired, then they both move right next door to each other and their romance then starts to take off. I really loved watching this relationship grow and establish. Martin has a beautiful handle on a four year old girl who finds companionship and love with Abby. Martin illustrates this relationship and trust so elegantly and it is in this soft moments that Nick sees Abby for the strong woman she is. Nick is also such a wonderful father, he is protective and only wants his daughter to feel safe and happy. Watching Abby and Nick's care for each other grow and take root is beautiful and Martin really takes the time to establish their foundation before the chemistry hormones fully take action. This novel is a fun and sexy read that is easy to devour in one sitting!

Definitely pick up this romance if you are looking for a single dad romance that will sweep you off your feet! This novel, while six in a series, is easily read as a standalone and will definitely make you curious to dig into all the other varsity dads!

Thank you so much to Grey's Promotions for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Daddy Silva has definitely got it going on 😍🔥
Let me just say, I wasn’t a Nick fan originally. I thought I was kind of an ass to our sweet Abby. But let’s just say he had some redeeming qualities, and the way he showed up for Abby especially after the tree incident had me swooning. When you come to understand Nick and all that he’s been through your heart hurts for him, but he continues pushing on and being the best daddy to Hazel and a great boss / non committed but committed fwb. Abby’s been through some shit too, due to a man who’s name I shall not mention 😒 But she falls for Nick, and  makes sacrifices for him because that’s just the kind of girl he is. Loved the HEA these two got 💜

I’m so sad this series has come at an end as the original Varsity Dad (Rider & Gabby) is the book that introduced me to this incredibly talented author. As sad as I am, I’m so excited for what’s to come.

Blindside Beauty by Lex Martin
Happy Release DAY!!

Another touchdown for Lex and another auto-read author!!

Single dad, nanny x boss, AND a football romance sign me up! This book had me swooning, crying, laughing, kicking my feet, and giggling through the entire book. Nick and Abigail get off on the wrong foot with Abigail crashing into his car ruining her chance at being his nanny. Then she moves in as his neighbor and there is TENSION that made everything so much better.

Nick was such a sweet and caring father and put his daughter Hazel above everything else and was so protective of her. The relationship that Abigail and Hazel formed through this story was so special and sweet. Abigail cared for Hazel like she was her daughter and ensured that her safety was her top priority even when Abigail was not her nanny yet.

Abigail was shy and didn’t have any confidence but once Nick had her alone in the bedroom all bets were off and she was very feisty and Nick did not disappoint. I needed a fan to cool myself off after because the mouth on this man was so filthy🥵! When it came time for Nick to grovel he pulled out of the stops and a man who recognized when he needed therapy and he was in the wrong is so hot. Nick put so much pressure on himself and held on to so much guilt and anger I felt those emotions like they were my own.

Lex did it again with a wonderful and beautiful story that I could not put down. I will be going back and reading the other stories in this series since I have not read them all!

Please check TW before you read!

Thank you, Lex Martin and Greys Promo for the opportunity to read this ARC💜.

Abigail Dawson is a sweetheart. She's a bookworm who's finding her place at a new school where the only friend she has is her roommate. She's also recovering from an awful break up from the guy she was supposed to marry, her high school sweetheart. AKA, the guy who cheated on her. Massively.

She loves kids and wants to save for the trip that her DB ex didn't want her going on. So when she applies to be Nick Silvas nanny, she gets denied. Might have been because she plowed into his car.

He's next door, though, and when she makes a daring rescue attempt to save his daughters life, Nick realizes that maybe she's the one who really needs to be watching her.

And when she needs a place to stay... Nick offers to let her move in. Win, win? Uh, no. She's had her fill of jocks. But Nicks is a fantastic dad, super good-looking, and a pretty great guy. A total 180 from her ex.

It's an enjoyable read. Nick has suffered some real loss, but he's learning to live again. And I'm not joking about what a sweet dad he is. It's really complicated for him, he's in truth, a single dad.

I loved the family they made together. It's always more complicated when kids are involved, and seeing as how Hazel's not a baby it's doubled the complicated.
