Abby is an accident prone nerdy girl who just wants to focus on herself after a bad breakup, transferring to a new college she wants to start living life for herself, and in doing so she has a no dating a football player.
Nick the college football quarterback is a single dad. He is putting all his focus on football so he can have a great season in hopes of being picked in the draft. Needing a nanny for his daughter, Abby applies for the job. With little hiccups along the way Abby becomes Nicks nanny.
With their ups and down things starts to heat up and their relationship becomes more but they each have so much going on.

Hazel Nicks daughter was such a sweetheart and the love he has for her makes him such a cinnamon roll.

This is the final book of hers Varsity Dads series, it was a great way to end so sad to leave the football team but excited to see what come next.

It can be read as a standalone but you donโ€™t want to miss all her other Varsity Dads!

This book was a bittersweet read because itโ€™s the last of this fantastic series- ๐š…๐™ฐ๐š๐š‚๐™ธ๐šƒ๐šˆ ๐™ณ๐™ฐ๐™ณ๐š‚. Iโ€™ve loved all the books and characters.
This was a fun, engaging and also emotional story. It deals with mental health and trauma, itโ€™s handled well and doesnโ€™t feel too heavy.
Nick is a devoted single dad whose daughter is his priority. Her Mom passed away when she was very young, and heโ€™s been raising her on his own. Making it to the NFL is his only other priority and goal. He doesnโ€™t make time for much else.
Abby is studying to be a teacher, she loves kids and is a bit of a shy, bookish type. She had a long relationship with a football player who ended up playing her. Sheโ€™s done with athletes and dating.
They have a very โ€œmeet awkwardโ€ when she applies to be his nanny, it does not go well. They later become neighbors, an incident occurs that shines light on Abbyโ€™s strengthโ€™s and she becomes his daughterโ€™s nanny.
I love the balance of humor, angst, emotional growth and pure entertainment. Oh!! And the spicy parts are chefs kiss.
This is a heartfelt, hilarious, clever and beautiful story.
The friendship, romance and steam are amazing. I laughed, I teared up and felt all the emotions.
The characters show important growth and that made me so happy.
Itโ€™s a thoroughly enjoyable, satisfying and smart story. I love the characters and Iโ€™m so sad to say goodbye to this wonderful series.

Abby is soooo sweet. She's fierce but in her own way. Shy but outspoken at times. She was looking for a nanny job but made a horrible first impression with the hot single dad Nick, the next time she runs into him, she makes a lasting impression flashing him and the whole neighborhood all of her goodies while trying to save Hazel.

I really enjoyed these two and how they skirted their feelings for so long until they just couldn't any longer. Their connection was amazing and their chemistry was off the charts.

Hazel made quite the impression everytime she made an appearance. She was so happy and sweet. Loved how Abby treated her so well and they made such a great duo.

Another touchdown for Lex Martin!๐Ÿˆ

She has officially become an autobuy author for me. Every book Iโ€™ve read from her has been a winner. I donโ€™t tend to gravitate toward single dad or pregnancy tropes, and yet iโ€™ve loved every book iโ€™ve read in the Varsity Dads series. She always delivers an exciting plot with memorable events and lots of angst, balanced with a really wholesome and moving romance that makes me swoon.

I was so excited to be getting Abbyโ€™s story after everything Ezra put her through that we caught glimpses of in the last book. Combine that with Nickโ€™s tragic backstory and his precious relationship with his daughter Hazel and youโ€™ve got a couple worth rooting for. I think Nick and Abbyโ€™s romance might be my favourite yet? I was laughing, crying, swooning kicking my feet the entire book.

One of my favourite romances of the year๐Ÿ†

Ps- I am so excited to read Lex Martinโ€™s new series starting with Paigeโ€™s book that was teased at the end!

Lex Martin knows how to write angsty page turners. I feel like Iโ€™m going through the emotions with her FMCโ€™s and can feel their pain.
Abby and Nickโ€™s romance was beautiful. Slow to blossom, and then both MCโ€™s were denying their feelings for a while but I loved the genuine connection I felt.
Of course little Hazel was also a stand out character. Little kids in books are my kryptonite at the moment. They have me wrapped around their little fingers.
This is the final book in the Varsity dads series and you canโ€™t go wrong if you pick up any of the books. Theyโ€™re all so good.

BLINDSIDE BEAUTY by Lex Martin  Varsity Dad's Book #6
Nick and Abby's story
Tropes: small town, football sports romance, single dad, Nanny / Boss, forced proximity
This is the last book in Lex Martin's Varsity Dad's series. She really brings this fun and spicey series to a perfect ending! Our hero Nick, is an alpha college quarterback who is raising his cute little daughter alone after a tragic accident takes away her mother. He's got his eye on an NFL career to give his daughter and his dad a better life. Our lovable nerdy heroine Abby just survived a nasty breakup with a football player who left her broken hearted. She needs a job to pay towards her dream trip to England so she applies to Nick's nanny job. Nick hires someone else but soon realizes Abby was the right person all along. I loved these two together. The storyline flowed and the characters were fun and believable! The chemistry and spice were sizzling hot and their snarky banter made me LOL!!! Great story with all the small town feels!!!

Wow. Wow. Wow.
Such a great book. The characters were more than amazing, the story was chef's kiss and I absolutely loved every single second reading this book. It was an easy and super fast read and I'm so sad the series is over now! It was also a rollercoaster of emotions, but it's definitely worth reading, I highly recommend this one!

Nick and Abby are really cute. They were instantly attracted to each other no matter how hard they tried to fight it. I loved their communication at the beginning but it didn't stay for the whole book. He just really needed to go to therapy. Hazel was adorable and I loved seeing the three of them as a family. The bonus chapter of them with 4 girls was adorable and I'm obsessed.

I received an arc from grey's promotion.
