I’ve loved Cameron for a long time. I’ve read most of his more adult leaning books, and I’ve always loved them. I love dogs, and I love their love for us. These books are really about the love of a dog and the love of a human for their dog. They’re all pretty similar, but I always like them. I’m getting a bit old for them now, but they have a special place in my life.

This was at times hard to listen to. As a dog owner and having recently lost my grandpa, ive cried through a good bit but I also appreciate my dogs even more.

This is the type of book that makes me crave for a dog.
It's a heartwarming and engrossing read that moves you and makes you feel good.
An excellent read.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Edelweiss for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Epic ending
Although I wanted this trilogy to go on forever, the epic ending satisfied me, at least temporarily. I still want to know more of Lacie and of Oscar and Lacie as companions through lifetimes. So many questions...
Do Oscar and Lacie only communicate through empathic means? I want to know what they said to each other. When Ava needed to go to the hospital, did Oscar and Lacie communicate by barking? What did they say?

I really really enjoyed this book. I especially feel an attachment to it due to my first dog’s name being Lacey. But not only was that her name her nickname was also Lulu!
You can imagine how sad I was when Lacey passed away, but also my excitement to find out she was reborn to a pup named Lulu!!
Highly recommend this book to anyone who is a dog lover! Really gets you to think about how a dog thinks and feels.

The chapters don’t always end/start at logical points and the scenes change quite abruptly. Also, why did Bailey previously remember his former lives, but not anymore? But what’s more: I love stories about animals, especially when told by the animal itself, and I know that this series is about the purpose of a (good) dog, but why, why does it have to have so much sadness and death? I love Bailey but I must say I’m happy this is the last book in the series. I’ve cried enough!
The 3rd instalment in this series follows the adventures and hardships as also told in the first two instalments. There was not much new and therefore I was ready to give it 3 stars. The last 50 pages and Bruce's afterword convinced me to give it one more star.

Bailey is still one of the best dogs I know and the one that first my Ernie and now my Charlie takes after.
