Okay LOVED the first one, second was a bit slower of a start given the way the last one ended and obviously you’re building up to war. But holy cow I loved this! The twist really got me. I knew something was going to happen the whole time but couldn’t quite put my finger on it. While there are a few cheesy lines that I could’ve done without, I feel like we got more of the world in this book! More magical creatures etc. Definitely just as good as the first book in my opinion!

Very slow paced, felt like the story could have been shorter. All the action happened in the first few chapters and last few. Will  read the third book to find out what happens.

I really liked this book. It was fast paced and there was enough romance/angst to keep my little ape brain happy. There was one part of the book though that I just couldn’t get past hence the age it took to read. Loved the book otherwise and the plot twist and cliff hanger at the end… bitch, amazing.
