If you loved Bow Before the Elf Queen you are going to LOVE. Long Live the Elf Queen. After finishing book one I was so impatient for book two, and it did not disappoint. The author wrote another amazing story with action and romance. The main characters are easily lovable and the story keeps you reading. The plot is so unique and unpredictable I enjoyed every minute of it. This does end on a cliffhanger like book one so I will be on the edge of my seat waiting for the third!

“My entire life has been to protect you, to love you, to make sure you were safe. If I didn’t have you, what would I live for?” Swoon!!!
I love Layala and Thane. They went through so much to get back to each other and to find a way to stop the Black Mage. There’s more world building and we meet new characters, like sirens and dragon-shifters! The action doesn’t stop and neither does the romance! Layala learns more about Thane’s magic as well as her own, right up until the cliffhanger ending!
I stayed up late to read the end and now I can’t wait until book 3!
This series is a must read and I’ll be recommending it to everyone!

No… just no. I was CRINGING at so much of this. Layala went from hero to a selfish girl who would sacrifice her only family and her ‘people’ for Thane.
They tried to throw in twists that were awful and not necessary. Oooo but this random lake they have to pass “bUt tHe waTErs aRe fuLl of DeaDlY CreaTurES”.
Trying really hard to make the ‘knife to the throat’ trope but was so forced and cringeworthy. Just no. I can’t.
I wanted to like this because I LOVED the first book but I can’t.
