It dragged so heavily in the middle, basically just repeating the same series of events in a loop. Not my favorite from Crichton for sure.

Wasp larvae implanted into a man's arm swell his flesh with squirming white bodies. That was my favorite part. It was an enjoyable, definitely a thriller, but I didn't feel especially connected to any of the characters which is why I gave it a "meh" rating.

Dear Lord this was a terribly written book. The dialogue was so monotone and unbelievably fake and the storytelling aspect was repetitive and unimaginative.

Crichton had amazing ideas, and he performed some great research. His writing doesn't click for me.
From a scientific person...it's a bit of a stretch but nonetheless entertaining. It's a quick read, not a book that will impact you for a long time but an interesting idea.
