Not one of his great ones but fast moving, fun and entertaining. Would have made a great 50s sic-fi horror film

DID NOT FINISH: 46%

There is some fun imagery in this book, which is perhaps why I made it nearly half way. Ultimately, it’s repetitive, none of the characters are particularly likable, and just not as compelling as other Crichton novels.
adventurous informative fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

Excellent read. like his other work Michael Crichton remains at the cutting edge of technology. A shame that he passed away.

DID NOT FINISH

Graphic in parts, which wasn't for me

Very enjoyable. Quick-paced. Simplistic story. Editor could've gone over it with a bit finer comb though.

Interessant concept dat goed is uitgewerkt. Ik vond het jammer dat ik niet echt een band kreeg met de hoofdpersonen, vandaar de 3 sterren ipv 4.

6/10 but minus one star for being fiction

This was a fun book taking me into an unknown and un-thought-of world. In the end it was a bit too much like Jurassic Park, which isn't a bad thing, just lacking originality.

It was an entertaining read, but not anything that will stick with me
adventurous dark mysterious slow-paced

I read this because my 10 year old son wants to read it. His favorite book is Jurassic Park, and he is determined to read all Michael Critchon. I wanted to make sure the content was appropriate. There are some gruesome deaths & a little bit of foul language. However I found the storyline to be rather un-engaging. I felt little connection with any of the characters. And neither the characters nor I had much concern for the loss of other characters in the book. In other words, not a gripping sci-fi novel.
