Honey I Shrunk the Kids for adults. Highly entertaining on a popcorn level, and definitely one of Crichton's better novels.

Interessantes Thema, hölzern umgesetzt. Unlesbar, kam nicht bis zum Ende. Das kann der Herr Crichton doch besser?! ... ah, das war er gar nicht wirklich, das erklärt alles.

Tries to appear very intelligent and science-y, but it falls apart the second you look any deeper. The “romance” is some of the worst I’ve ever read. Clearly written by a clueless man and should’ve just been left out altogether. Lots of gory, bloody deaths.
Graphic: Animal death, Body horror, Death, Gore, Gun violence, Violence, Blood, Kidnapping, Murder
Yes, I actually stuck this out the whole way through. Here is my pro/con list pertaining to the book:
Pros:
*Giant bugs!
*Tiny humans!
*Killer nano-bots!
Cons:
*ALL of the characters!
*the ending!
*Fear mongering about evil scientists!
It was just amusing enough to finish reading, but I probably won't be recommending this to anyone...

"Honey I Shrunk the Kids" meets insects and lame archetypes. On the plus side, I learned the difference between a centipede and a millipede.
The premise was super interesting but it just became “Honey, I shrunk the kids” with annoying (and slightly horny) scientists
So fun!!! I love the bug facts and magical microscopic world. I feel this book really captured the essence of being an entomologist

Preston sullied the name of Crichton with this drivel
