Wanted to like this one so much but it just didn't do it for me. Aside from the fact that the FMC is a delicate flower who can't have a simple conversation without making threats, exploding, shutting down, or just fainting. It was ridiculous. There are also way too many inconsistencies, such as yelling at everyone not to slut shame but also calling her guys and her best friend sluts multiple times. She also comments about how her inner feminist is raging at her for being "dressed like a whore" which is just ugh. That's not what that means. At one point she plucked a cig from one character's hand and threw it out the car window, then when he pulled another one out, smoked it, and threw it out the window she cringed and called him a littler bug.

Also, the puns were ok in the beginning and then quickly got old.

The situation itself is interesting, with the idea of quints, sexts, and septs, and her finding herself in the middle of one. It was just like pulling teeth to get through the story though because the main character had to have the same arguments over and over about not wanting to be part of something she obviously wanted to be part of. And then when she finally asks important questions she's either ignored or they're brushed off. I can't see how any of them are attracted to each other outside of the elementals factor because they don't talk all, but it was hinting at stronger feelings that just didn't have anything to back them up. I'm tempted to see if the next book is better, but I'm not sure I want to put myself through that again.

I feel like a lot of the more brutal reviews on this series tried to take it too seriously. If you just roll with the OTT absurdity it’s pretty funny., if you can handle endless plumber jokes.

The Hs are all “elementals”, they sorta look like dragons. As with any fantasy series nothing is as it seems initially and every chapter pretty much brings a completely new revelation and spin on the world.

Some people might like this a crazy, funny, sexy times, not my type of jokes, too repetitive, sex seem lust induced every time no connection, crazy was too much of the TSTL kind. It could have been interesting if we got more of the explanation of the world and the way it worked but instead it was revealed little secrets everybody seemed to know but Ari. And more question are made. Nothing well explained.

What does this have more than sex?
- alcohol- their answer to everything is alcohol, stressed alcohol, too much drinking the night before alcohol, want to have fun alcohol, wake up alcohol, go out alcohol, the answer to everything alcohol
- the phrase- “I’m a barista not a ...” yet we never see her as a barista.
- TSTL moments, heroine and really her 4 mates too.
- Bad pluming jokes, funny at first but gets old fast.
- One mate calling her sugar tits (ST) really gets old especially as he uses it as her name.
What this doesn’t have
- a plot that is intelligent and followed rather than fallen into
- characters that I like and can connect to. Ari is a alcoholic TSTL character that goes off with no thought. The guys a manipulative bastards that took any choice away from her right from the beginning.
- an ending, we just get a few of the question answered but that was it.

Definitely erotica, the connection is through sex, the plot moves along because of the connection through sex very graphic and the sex starts probably in the first 20% of the book. I wouldn’t call this romance though there is a romance in there it isn’t what puts these people together. It is pure hormone and lust driven. Not bad erotica but not very good true PNR.

OK, this starts with a lot of fun jokes but the main character quickly turns into an idiot that is TSTL and totally controlled by her... not sure though she does give into sexual urges And then goes off half cocked running towards trouble without learning jack shit and knowing pretty much nothing of her situation.

So a more than handsome man comes to fix her bathroom. She walks in on him and sees 2 dragon creatures working with him. Now she is bound by super natural law to mate with all of them, these gorgeous nymph men. Yep, that happens everyday and wasn't an issue.

Our heroine is an alcoholic, the boys show up and trick her into a relationship that she doesn’t want, and next to nothing is ever explained. I almost didn’t finish this book but stuck with it hoping I’d get some answers. But I didn’t get any.

I mean, it was a cute, funny, lighthearted book. It was a bit over the top and like, the plumbing references got a bit annoying but still good for some laughs. But yeah definitely not a serious read. I relate to ari a lot as person 😂 I'm Aussie too after all with her views on things, and inner monologue about slut shaming, jealousy and even her love of foxes, I have the exact same mug mentioned at some stage and I really love how the bisexuality aspect of the guys was really embraced and didn't stereotype them or make them any less smoking and masculine. So ridiculous but funny.

I got feed up by the 4th time the mc had to mention she was a barista which didn't apply to her from page one.

A miserable experience.

So many bad plumbing puns! SOOOO much dubious consent, or, uninformed consent? What do you call it when men say "oh no we don't need condoms" and then later they say "oh yeah now that we had unprotected sex you're an elemental". Rape? I think that's rape.

And it continually happens. The heroine keeps getting put into situations where she is told minimal details and then agrees and then told afterwards about the new pit she has fallen into.

Oops! You accidentally saw a supernatural creature and are now in danger.
Oops! You had unprotected sex and now you're a supernatural creature.
Oops! The ritual we need to do to protect you also makes you our wife.
Oops! Being our wife is actually just as dangerous as not.

Some of this could be forgiven if the sex scenes were hot but they just aren't. No buildup or anticipation, FAR too many plumbing puns and bad jokes.

Bleh.
