I wish this was in color rather than shades of blue but otherwise the artwork is pretty good. I mean that’s not exactly how I pictured the characters but that never happens anyway.

Iko is adorable and I can’t wait to read more about her adventures hunting down the mutant wolves and protecting Cinder. It’s really nice to continue the Lunar Chronicles in a new format since now we get to see how everything isn’t a “happily ever after” after Cinder took over as Queen of Luna.

I have a feeling we have even more secrets to learn too. Cinder’s stepfather Garen was a great inventor after all, so what exactly did he do with Iko...?

DO NOT READ THIS BOOK IS YOU HAVE READ THE ENTIRE LUNAR CHRONICLES SERIES!!!! It is spoiled in the first 5 pages literally like you are spoiled for EVERYTHING lol that being said. . .

I have to commend Marissa Meyer for creating yet another fantastic LC book!! I was very skeptical reading this because I wasn't sure how I would feel about it being a graphic novel but it was perfect!

This was my first ever time reading a graphic novel, besides Captain Underpants books when I was younger. I really enjoyed this book and of course it was a really quick read. This story basically follows Iko, although we do see our other favorite characters in here. I loved getting Iko's view on things because she is just as much as a person as the rest of the crew. Iko is such an adorable character and I'm so excited for Volume #2. The art was pretty good, I didn't imagine the characters in that way, but I still enjoyed it nevertheless.

Rating: 5/5
Recommend: I would recommend to everyone

I will happily revisit these characters as often as Marissa Meyer let's me. Please keep coming back to this world, Ms. Meyer.

A fun new continuation of the Lunar Chronicles in a different format.

I'm a TLC trash, so of course this gets 5 stars. Why did I ever doubt it?
I was squealing too much sometimes, but I couldn't help myself.
I love this world, I love these characters and while I love Iko, I was always very happy we got to see other characters as well. Especially my faves.
But the ending came too quickly and I wasn't ready. 2018 can't come soon enough.

I received this book as a present and I've been anticipating reading it because I LOVE Marissa Meyer's books, particularly her The Lunar Chronicles series, and I couldn't wait to get stuck into the 'sequel' of that. Even better? It was a graphic novel, and I've been trying to read more of them because I love them so much! And the fact that this was focussing on Iko's story made for an even bigger bonus because I liked her character a lot in the series.

And I think that this did a pretty good job of continuing things on. I liked the beginning, it really set the scene and it was interesting seeing what had been going on for each of the characters since 'Winter'. Stories don't stop with a 'and they lived happily ever after'. Of COURSE Cinder was going to have trouble ruling Lunar, of COURSE Wolf would have issues fitting in, and of COURSE Iko would still struggle with how people see robots. I liked the story, and I liked the new characters we met too.

That being said, I couldn't help but be a little disappointed by this. It might be down partly to the new format of storytelling, but I really felt that the characters I knew and loved lost some of their personality, especially Captain Thorne. It was a shame, because I wanted so badly to be immersed in this. I'm not sure how I feel about Iko too - I think she has the potential to be awesome but I don't think she's there yet. I wasn't 100% enamoured withe the art style either. I liked it, but didn't LOVE it. I hope my mind changes as this series progresses, as there was a lot of exposition and info-dumping in this one that I didn't need, and won't need to be repeated again.

I don’t usually read many graphic novels. But when I found out Marissa Meyer had a graphic novel sequel to the lunar chronicles I HAD to have it. We get to see all of the rampion crew in this sequel. Love it.
