Definitely not for everyone nor the faint of heart. It sounds wrong to say I enjoyed this book since it is very dark and gruesome. Defintely look up the warnings if you have doubts, because this book is DARK.

A dark horror retelling, magic is dying, bad dad with a ‘history’ book of lore, magic objects, hatred of change, a girl fights to find her power and the truth is terrifying. This was deliciously melancholy and stark. Women finding their power in a new world.
