The themes still ring so true today. That alone is monumental. Loved the symbolism and subversion of the “unreality.” It’s thought provoking and Bradbury’s own love letter to literature which I enjoyed a lot.

More world building would have been amazing as the concept is so strong. The story really picked up in Part 3 and it might have been good to have that pace throughout.

A more than deserving classic albeit the writing style isn’t 100% my cup of tea.

Re-read this since I had to teach it to my Juniors this year. Even still as we read as a class I’m blown away by the subtleties, the symbolism, the character details, and world building. Ray Bradbury was truly a prophet. The writing of each word is purposeful, painful, and horrifying. I would recommend this to anyone who feels like their brain needs a good slap in the face.
