I was right there feeling Oraya’s emotion with her

Main thing learnt is Raihn makes some dumb ass decisions but he loves her and I love a whipped man

I did think rather than Simon’s brother being at the first Nobel meet up, Simon should have been there idc if it showed his disrespect by not going it just made the next meeting and then the betrayal feel very quick and rushed

And Simon’s brother was never mentioned again?? Raihn killed him and Simon didn’t say a damn thing about it - just found it bit odd

DNF. I tried to give this book a good shot but really couldn’t get into it. I read the first book and though I found myself getting bored in some parts I did enjoy it. I may come back to this and give it another go. Who knows?!

Somehow this book was just as compelling in telling the rest of Oraya and Raihn’s story. Their “end” I thought was fitting and turned out better than expected. Broadbent’s work on the world of Nyaxia has been nothing short of addicting. I already am dreaming of the day the next book in this series is released, so I can hear more about the futures of Oraya and Raihn as well as other important characters in their universe!

It lost a star for me as while the reasoning to keep our fated star crossed lovers apart made logical sense, I'd just finished an entire book where we waited for them to get together for 400 pages, only to have to go through another 300 apart? It was too many pages apart for me. And it felt a lot like the 'just talk to each other' trope done in a way that again was logical but not necessarily believable for my taste for these characters. Had it been the first 150 pages, maybe I would have been more on board, but 300 pages in (almost half way through, that was too much)

I did however LOVE the continued world building, and I thought the conclusion was well played out. Was a huge Raihn fan. (yet again)

It's the second book in this genre with gods having a lot to do with the end which is interesting. And im enjoying the first book in the next duet already.

This book is really about me and Oraya mourning Vincent's death.
