Dee-lightful. I love it when Neil Gaiman is in fairy tale mode, and love that he narrated this audiobook. Odd is awesome, especially his irritating smile.
Delightful. I read it in one night. I'd gotten it from the library, but clearly I need to purchase a copy of my own so that my kids can all read it as well.

Written as a kids book but approachable by all, it is an adaptation of several Norse myths into one cohesive story...and I found it delightful.
Aw, this was the cutest little book. I loved it. I got a copy for my Niece because I'm going to give her books while she grows up, but I love Neil Gaiman so I had to read it too and it's great. It's so simple and smart. I can't wait to give it to Allison, even though she's only 2 right now and can't really "get" stories, well when she can she'll have this, and that's a good thing I think.
Disclosure: I love Neil Gaiman; I don't think he could write a book I didn't enjoy. This is not my favorite, but it is a charming little folk tale. If I still had young boys in the house, I would read a chapter aloud every night at bedtime.
The Graveyard Book is a wonderful young adult book teetering between tenderness and violence, wistfulness and wit. Nobody Owens and his life in the graveyard are fun to read, especially his interactions with the witch buried in the field. Bod grows up in an admittedly episodic way, and there was no clear plotline carrying the reader through the book—but Gaiman made it interesting enough that that mattered little to me. The ending was a bit too convenient; the conflict didn’t allow me to suspend my disbelief as thoroughly as I would have liked. But the final lines, a melancholy reflection on the disconnect between childhood and adulthood, made me smile. A great children’s book that I’d even recommend to some of my adult friends.
One of my all time favorite books even as a 24-year-old. I recommend also listening to the audiobook because Neil Gaiman is a great reader!
