I have been entertained. Ollie sometimes gave a little bit of I'm-not-like-other-girls energy but I absolutely loved her bestie, and Silas was too precious. This book's prologue was so wild I had my mouth gaping!
All to say, this book was very fun.

Ollie, a 21 year old journaist student, is out one night out with her bestie, Ross, when her enemy Candice comes into the bar with Oillies ex. Ollie panics and kisses a random stranger in the bar and pretends he is her bf. Silas, a 31 year old professional hockey player, just happens to be that stranger. After being kissed by Ollie he strikes up a deal with her. They will pretend to date...

This book had so many hilarious moments! Their banter at the beginnings as so funny, especially all the jokes about his age.  I thought that Silas and Ollie had explosive physical chemistry and slowly their emotional chemistry caught up.  The end of the book felt too rushed to me.

Silas has a hard time trusting. His ex, who was his highschool sweetheart, cheated on him and left him completely devastated. He has held onto his anger and has not been able to work through it, in fact he hasn't even talked to anyone about it. The thought of being hurt again scares home enough that he shuts everyone out. Ollie is the perfect solution to his problem, having a girlfriend will get his friends off his back and hopefully keep his ex away from him. Silas is very attracted to Ollie, but convinces himself that he isn't good enough for her because he is still messed up from his ex.  He was very hot and cold will Ollie as he struggled to allow himself to feel his feelings for her. He slowly learns to trust her and let her in and gives himself permission to explore his feelings. once he opens up, we see his soft side and how supportive and possessive he is of Ollie. Two words... Jacob's Ladder.

At first Ollie came off very immature. She is a bit chaotic. I loved that she embraces her sexuality and is direct in asking what she wants, but it got to a point where it became so repetitive (we get it, your ex hated sex and you love giving BJ's). She is frustrated that Silas won't give in to her she focuses her energy on cracking him and pushing him to give into her. She thinks that Silas is playing with her, but once she learns about his past, we see a more mature side of her. She becomes protective of Silas and understanding about his emotional needs. She scarifices so much for him.

As much as I hate miscommunication, I feel like his reaction is pretty understandable. He was crushed by his ex, but allowed himself to trust Ollie. So when he believed she betrayed him, he lashed out and shut down again. That said... He should of had to grovel more.

I really liked Ross and loved that we got to know Ian a bit more. I hope that they get a book!

I loved this audio book SO much. The duet narration was everything. It had me LOL'ing through the text chains between the main characters and their friends. I wish the Vancouver Agitators were real because I think I might actually start watching hockey if they were!

Plot:
Ollie (21) is at a bar with friends and runs into her work nemesis, Candace. Candace is being a royal B and is now dating Ollie's first and only ex. Talk about B-move. She pretends that she's moved on by saying that she has a new boyfriend and walks up to a hot, single stranger at the bar and smacks one on him. Enter Silas, the pro-hockey, daddy of our dreams. Silas (31) is at the bar drinking over his awful ex-girlfriend who decides she wants him back. When all of a sudden, Ollie comes up and gives him the best kiss he's had in a while. They realize that this fake relationship could actually benefit them both and draw up a contract for their fake relationship. Ollie gets help with her college journalism internship by gaining access to a pro Hockey team. And Silas gets someone to get his friends off his back and keep his ex at arms length.

Writing:
I cannot say enough good things about the witty, hilarious writing of Meghan Quinn. She is just one of those authors who makes you feel like you are listening to your friends talk and has me laughing out loud the whole time. I was captured from the first chapter (talk about jump scare). Can't recommend this author or this book enough. One of my favorites of hers! This book was deliciously spicy and the jacob's shmadder was so fun hahah!

Not my favorite Meghan Quinn, but a super hot sports romance nonetheless. Some bits were a little over the top, but overall it was pretty funny and super steamy. I also enjoyed the cameos from characters in Quinn’s other books.

Note: This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased opinion.

Meghan Quinn's indie sports romances are my reading happy place. Right Man, Right Time just took over as my favorite of them all. I think I've been saying that with every new Meghan Quinn release, but I can't help myself! They somehow keep getting better and better! Here are my thoughts on Right Man, Right Time.

THE WRITING
Meghan Quinn's writing is just so fun and hilarious. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes several times. This book was true romantic comedy gold. I loved the way she set up the story and the big personalities she gave the characters. But a warning to her Montlake published readers: Quinn's indies are steamier and that is very true of this one.

THE PLOT
Right Man, Right Time was a silly, sexy, fighting their feeling slow-ish burn until it was fast forward, age gap, fake dating romantic comedy. Ollie is a young woman who is not going to let the man who broke up with her think she's still pining after him. That leads to her kissing a random man in a bar. A random man who happens to be a famous professional hockey player. Silas has also been burned by love and he also doesn't want his ex to think he's pining for her. The crazy chick from the bar who kissed him is just the person he needs to help by playing his girlfriend. I loved how Quinn wove this story.

THE CHARACTERS
I absolutely adored Ollie and Silas (or Taters, if that helps you remember him from the two previous books in this series). Silas was a little moody and still hurting from his ex's betrayal. Ollie was this big, bright personality. She was hilarious and brought Silas some much needed levity to his life.

THE ROMANCE
This is one of the best portrayals of age gap I've seen. Ollie truly came off as a 21-year-old while Silas felt much older at 31. I loved how that impacted their fake relationship and the real one that developed. The fake relationship had some great comedic moments. Ollie sure knew how to make things awkward for Silas. I loved how the fake relationship turned into a real friendship which then turned into a great real relationship. These two truly got to know each other and build a connection over the course of the book. It also helped that their chemistry and passion between them were off the charts. The intensity and attraction truly felt like two people starting a relationship.

THE SIDE CHARACTERS
The enemies in this book were fun to hate, especially Sarah. Plus, the Agitators gang was all back for this one. It was fun to see the guys through Silas's eyes. I loved how they banded around Silas and tried to help him out or gave him a hard time. Ollie also had a great best friend, Ross.  The of them together were a handful. Then, there were the surprise cameos from some beloved Quinn characters outside of the series. They added perfectly to the story.

THE DRAMA
As funny as this book was, there was also some much-expected drama. I loved how it was done in this book. It felt like something that could really happen. I know some readers hate on third act break ups, but I actually love them. They're less stressful for me, and I like getting all that buildup time with the couple before everything gets messed up.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
Meghan Quinn has done it again! I absolutely loved every second I spent reading this book. I actually took it slow for once and didn't gobble it up because I wanted to spend more time with the characters. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I hope it's coming sooner than later!
