This book is brilliant! I love enemies to lovers and this book was perfect. Hamilton and Gwen's story is absolutely beautiful within this trope, they where friends, but then he dumped her and after a while, they find themselves again. This story got me from the start, I love it, every chapter of it, Angel Lawson and Samantha Rue did a magnificent job writing this book and I absolutely need to get their next one. More than 5 stars if I could!
He’s The Devil himself!…
I came into this blind. It’s my first read by these authors and I didn’t know what quite to expect as I was a little hesitant to start it in the first place. But I’m so glad I did!
Hamilton and Gwen are enemies. He hates her for who she is and constantly refers to her as trash. He’s her bully! Then something happens with Gwen’s sister and after that Hamilton outright cancels Gwen. She’s now completely iced out at school. Not that I makes that much of a difference since she has always been an outsider due to who her family are. Then things take a turn and they’re new, scary and surprising thrilling. They both for a new connection that they both don’t understand what it is yet. One thing leads to another and well Gwen and Hamilton are keeping secrets from they’re family and friends.
There was a lot of character growth in this book. Both Hamilton and Gwen developed. Gwen learned how to forgive and not hold grudges. And Hamilton learned how to not be such an A-hole. I think he probably grew the most and that’s got a lot to do with Gwen herself as she made him a better person.
I really enjoyed this book it didn’t disappoint one bit. There was a good portion of smut, - I’d give it about 3 chillis - I found myself constantly getting butterflies and the plot flowed nicely. Looking forward to reading the next books in this series.

when i started reading this i didn’t go into it with any expectations because i knew it was a bully romance and i hate that trope but gwenhamilton are probably one of my favourite couples now. they were that good.
i hate to admit it but literally the entirety of this book had me giggling and smiling. i loved how this was more of an academic rivals than a full on enemies to lovers where the guy is a complete psychopath like other etl books.
my favourite thing in this was probably the fact that hamiltons actions weren’t justified by some tragic backstory or anything like that. the author didn’t guilt trip us into liking him and excusing all the rude things he does, he actually had a reason for doing it and then he works hard to change into a good person while ALSO taking accountability for his mistakes like are you kidding ? i love hamilton so much ugh.
i loved gwen too. she was funny and smart and she didn’t annoy me at all. and thank god she didn’t try to pull off the “not like other girls” persona in this. another thing, i was so happy the “mean girls” in this weren’t the cliche rich brats who always do nasty things to the main character for no reason like there wasn’t any dumb rivalries between them which i loved.
gwenhamilton also pulled off the third act breakup scene so well they even nailed the cheesy—boyfriend trying to make up for messing their relationship up—apology so good i was screaming and crying and throwing up everywhere it felt like it was straight out of a romcom.
5 stars deserved. i’m gonna miss gwenhamilton so bad best people ever literal soulmates ugh <3

Completely and utterly amazing book! I was in love with Gwen right from the start. And it took me a bit to warm up to Hamilton but in the end he was the hero we all live to read about. This is the quintessential friends to enemies to lovers romance. They started out as friends as small kids and that friendship turned into enemies when social standing became a factor in their lives. Their lives have been intertwined for years and in their final year of school it all comes to head. This book was addictive, maddening, heartbreaking and so much more. I can’t wait to for the next book.

This is one of the hottest books I've read in a long time.
The forbidden aspect was so good, I'm craving more of that trope now. And the sexual tension between the main characters was incredible. The bully aspects was very mild in comparison to other of these authors' stories. I wouldn't even consider this bully romance, this is mostly all based on a miscommunication trope, which I usually hate. But it was really well done here.
I have to give it to Lawson and Rue, they make me love tropes and concepts I usually hate with a passion. I have no idea how they do it, but I'm blaming some sort of witchcraft.

A high school bully romance with relatively realistic bulllies/bullied (no teen crime moguls...). The hero is an utterly awful little piece of shit in the beginning and there's a lot of humor in his internal dialogue as he slowly (so very slowly) begins to mature emotionally and expand his worldview beyond what his asshole dad wants him to be.
