I will be brief. This was my first experience with Paulo Coelho and i expected more (I'll try his other books). I found the setting of the story (Cannes film festival) very interesting, the interior monologue for each character was very well done, but I found the constant jabs of women in that industry being completely self absorbed and materialistic quite tiresome. The ending was also a little lackluster, in my opinion.
All in all, i devaured the book because it was easy to read and entertaining, but some parts where a bit repetitive and the ending too open (we never know what happens to police officer Savoy, for example!!).

I loved the writing! There were a few parts I did not like, but other than that it was alright
