Honestly was a fever dream but definitely read trigger warnings. There were some good plot twists but if you pay attention you can see them coming. Hella smut tho.

Sebastian is a star quarter back and grandson of a senator. Naomi is and outcast and the daughter of a fashion house designer. These two come together like two lost souls and manage to find their HEA, despite some serious hurdles.
I liked the spice and I liked the underlying mystery. (Though the plot “twists” were easily guessed at and normal all a surprise) I also appreciated Naomi’s mysterious penpal, Akira. Their letters created levity. I liked book 1 much more than i liked book 2. But I think that’s more so because I disliked the plot drivers in book 2.
Sebastian is not really the dominant alpha male that I typically want in my books. He has weaknesses and he’s bested on more than one occasion. I wished he was little more invincible. Naomi can be a bit rough around the edges but she softens for Sebastian.
The couple also lacked a bit of the romance. Their relationship almost happens im 4 Acts over the course of the duet. Acts 2 and 4 include spice and some romance. Acts 1 and 3 seems to be lacking the emotional connection. While the steam is good… it’s rough and I would have preferred more after care to demonstrate that Sebastians emotions went beyond just sex.

This book was HOT HOT HOT HOT & then even more HOT. I was all for the sexual tension & passion between these two characters. The plot behind this book had me rolling with anxiety about not knowing what is coming next! The angst was KILLER!!
Naomi is a keep to herself type of girl who tried to please her mom by becoming a cheerleader. We learn that she has a complicated family past that causes her to have a lot of questions she wants answered. With a desire to find out more & a secret crush oh the star quarterback… what could go wrong?

With being raised by his grandfather who’s a senator, he was groomed for that life. He is the king of hiding behind a mask & not showing the world all his demons.
This was a super quick enjoyable & intense read but OH SOOO GOOD!
