Listen...it's simple

Jacob Morgan/Zachary Webber narrates
The MC is a single dad
AGE GAP

Imma listen and like it.

Case closed.

I received an arc for an honest review.

This was my first Corinne Michaels read/listen, and WOW! Loved it!

PS: the audio was fantastic as well! I love Zachary Webber & Desiree Ketchum, and they were great as Archer & Phoebe!

If you love grumpy/sunshine, single dad/nanny, forced proximity, age gap (15ish years), and/or forbidden romance, this one is for you!

This one had high heat & high emotions; Archer & Phoebe are tension and angst personified, and they fight those feelings until they can't anymore! Archer and his mouth,,,,BLESS IT!

I love that Phoebe is so relatable, being a hot mess and not having it all together. Her life is a MESS, and her turmoil is a lot but her struggles just make me cheer for her that much more!

Also, the relationship that Phoebe & Olivia have is so heartwarming! It made me tear up multiple times at how much they love each other and how protective Phoebe is of Olivia.

This one pulled all the heartstrings, and I enjoyed it so much! Can't wait to get into the rest of this series soon!

Thank you, Corinne, for sending me this arc and allowing me to experience Asher and Phoebe's love story!

While Pheobe is back in her small town for the summer, she finds herself forced to become Asher's nanny and care or his Deaf daughter, Olivia. Not only does she find herself creating such a strong bond with Olivia, but also with Asher as well, despite his grumpy exterior.

This was such a fun read - I loved the small-town feel and the depth these characters brought to this book. I absolutely adored Olivia and enjoyed seeing the Deaf representation. I thought she was the glue that brought this story together

I also thought the conflict towards the end was done so well. There was no third-act breakup because Asher and Phoebe communicated like adults which was SO refreshing!

If you're looking for nanny romance, def add this one to your tbr.

I absolutely LOVED this book. I was already so excited to read as i’ve been loving Corinne’s books and it has all my favorite tropes.

This is the first book in a new series following the Whitlock family. It’s no surprise that I love Asher’s character as much as I do because he’s a little bit grumpy but so soft. He is everything. There were some big changes and moments for Phoebe where he was just the best supporter.

I could not get enough of the tension and the little moments between Asher and Phoebe. From the beginning to when the point they let themselves fully fall that buildup was always leaving me wanting more. What made it all the more better was their playfulness and banter. Absolute chefs kiss. And the spice… all I will say is that Asher is one hot man.

Phoebe is such a strong character. As you start this book you find she’s returning home after being in a heartbreaking situation. But just as quickly you see how strong she is.

There’s something about that connection that’s grows between Phoebe and Olivia. Since Olivia is deaf the sole communication for her is ASL. As Phoebe and Olivia communicate through ASL and spend more time together there’s this love and protection that comes through. My heart was so full reading this book.

This is not my favorite Corinne Michaels romance wise (maybe because I just read a nanny romance), but I will say that I absolutely LOVED the ASL representation. It was written in such a normalized and realistic way that made me just fall for the main characters. I will definitely be continuing the series as Corinne knows how to balance emotion and lightheartedness in the best way.

Read if you like:
-Age Gap (24 and 38)
-Single dad
-Nanny/boss
-ASL rep
-Sunshine/ grumpy
-Forbidden love
-Blue collar hero
-Small town setting

Had me giggling and blushing 10/10

All he needed was the right key

I have been an avid reader of Corinne's for years now and each time she tells me the book isn't emotional, I end up bawling my eyes out. But she was right on this one.

Phoebe and Asher have a past, now it's not what you're thinking. There was a little mishap several years ago and Asher is holding on to it with vigor. But they both find themselves with a situation this summer and need one another to get through it. So starts the adventure of Phoebe, Olivia (Asher's little girl), and Asher. The bond between Phoebe and Olivia is so pure, for a young girl who is just a "little different" to have someone in her corner who is choosing to be there is priceless. The pure attraction that Phoebe and Asher can't ignore, they both are figuring out what their daily lives should look like and their communication is everything.

One of the things I've always loved about her stories is that the characters are so authentic. They will make mistakes, and say the wrong thing, but their internal strengths are unparrelled. Another great one for the shelf!
