It was good until she found out she was pregnant with another man's baby. The part that annoyed me is that she just accepted it without thinking of any of her options. Not even her doctors told her options like abortion, adoption, etc. She left Iowa to get far away from Jonathan and to never she him again but now she will have to see his face in her child for the rest of her life?

My first Corinne Michaels book and she did not disappoint. Single Dad x Nanny always hits, and this one did not disappoint. Asher is as grumpy as they come but has a soft spot for his daughter and now his new nanny.

I enjoyed this one! I listened to it on audiobook and Zachary Webber and Desiree Ketchum did a great job with it! I was not expecting the plot twist at the end! And one part made my heart drop to my toes. I love how Corinne adds suspense to her books! It definitely keeps you intrigued. Asher needed a nanny who was proficient in ADL due to having a deaf daughter. Phoebe happened to be in school learning to be an audiologist and knew ASL very well. They got off to a rough start but once they found their footing, their attraction was evident. It was a hard relationship to navigate at first, esp because Phoebe's dad is Asher's boss! They tried to fight it, knowing she couldn't stay in town, but you know how that goes. Asher stepping up at the end was the best too. He's so loving and fiercely protective of the ones he loves. I loved the relationship between Asher and his baby mama, Sara. It was such a healthy, respectful relationship between the two and I loved seeing it. I'm ready to read the next one!

This was not the book for me. Phoebe is chaotic and gives off major “not like the other girls” energy, there is an element of insta-love to this, and there is a fair bit of women being b*tchy for no reason (it doesn’t advance the plot, nor does it feel necessary to include). Phoebe also has some ableist thoughts about Olivia…they are well-meaning but it doesn’t change the fact that they’re still ableist.
