Minor: Rape
Not my favorite Corrine book but not as bad as 9ther reviews make it out to be. Lots of random connections and an interesting storyline. These two are cute together when they get over themselves.
Look forward to the next story.

Fun, angsty and highly emotional age-gap romance that will have the reader laughing out loud at times as well as sighing with happiness in others. Corinne Michaels not only intertwines two characters that completely loath each other but also make them work together in such a way that they are so necessary to each other by the end. Asher and Phoebe will instantly become a favorite couple and I am so looking forward to more in the series.

It’s got a trope I don’t love but in a unique way that didn’t bother me ultimately. Jacob Morgan is always a delight 🤪
It's so cliche and over dramatic. The redundancy of "we shouldn't do this we can't" followed by an intimate scene has happened like every 10% of this book and I'm tired. I got bored and decided to DNF when I got to the really unrealistic falling on cans at the store and he pulls too hard helping her up and now she's on top of him nonsense. I can't.
Okay when I say I devoured this, I literally read it in one sitting I could not stop. This may be my fave small town, single dad book ever, it was that good. Corinne knows how to write a swoon worthy man and Asher just topped the list.
Asher is in need of a nanny who knows ASL and can support his daughter who is deaf, which leads him to reluctantly hiring Phoebe, his boss' daughter. And the two of them together, the way Phoebe supported and defended Olivia was just beautiful. Asher really had no hope in not falling for her. The layers and complexity of the characters was so well written, I was immediately sucked in.
And can we talk about the chemistry and banter between Asher and Phoebe? Because WOW it had me hooked from the start! She is a ray of sunshine and despite feeling lost and struggling with her past, she doesn’t let his grumpiness get her down.
The road to their happily ever after isn’t smooth, but I loved the way they dealt with it and worked through it together. Plus did I mention there’s no third act breakup? Making this book perfection for me

Theres nothing that can cause me to rate a cinnamon roll, single dad, well written mmc anything below 5 stars. These are always my favourite books from Corinne and I cannot wait for Grady’s book next. The disability representation was handled with finesse and utmost respect. I don’t love the whole pregnancy aspect but the lack of a third act break up and the maturity of the characters more than made up for it.
