Thank you, Corinne, for sending me this arc and allowing me to experience Asher and Phoebe's love story!
While Pheobe is back in her small town for the summer, she finds herself forced to become Asher's nanny and care or his Deaf daughter, Olivia. Not only does she find herself creating such a strong bond with Olivia, but also with Asher as well, despite his grumpy exterior.
This was such a fun read - I loved the small-town feel and the depth these characters brought to this book. I absolutely adored Olivia and enjoyed seeing the Deaf representation. I thought she was the glue that brought this story together
I also thought the conflict towards the end was done so well. There was no third-act breakup because Asher and Phoebe communicated like adults which was SO refreshing!
If you're looking for nanny romance, def add this one to your tbr.

This age gap was extra yummy! Somebody, please hand me a biscuit to sop up Asher with because "chef's kiss", that man is so fine! I won't elaborate too much, but this story lived up to the "forbidden" in the title! I'm fast becoming invested in the Whitlock siblings, and also appreciated the character "crossovers". My mind is spun up with the storyline possibilities in Sugarloaf, and I cannot wait to go back there!
Predictable romance. Cute and lighthearted with some drama in the mix. Good read.

I could not get enough of Asher and Phoebe and I loved their story. Asher is a single dad in a tough spot when the nanny agency cannot provide a nanny that knows ASL for his daughter. He is left with Phoebe, his bosses daughter and does not trust her from a past babysitting incident. I love the way that Phoebe always challenges him and the relationship that she develops with Olivia. The tension between these two is high and as much as they try to resist each other they can’t. Their story was sweet, fun and full of banter.
Desiree Ketchum and Zachary Webber did an amazing job bringing this story and Phoebe and Asher to life. Desiree was great at portraying Phoebe’s sunshine personality but also her vulnerabilities and the hurt from her past. Zachary was the perfect grumpy single dad, but also brought out Asher’s caring and sarcastic personality. Both of their performances made me love the story even more.

Age Gap, Boss/Employee Romance? YES PLEASE!
I love Asher and Phoebe. Their banter was top notch but their sexual tension was HOT! I loved Phoebe's snarkiness and how good she was with Olivia, Asher's 9 year old daughter. Asher tried so hard to stay away from Phoebe but when he decided to have he was ALL IN and I loved that! This is my favorite that Corinne has written and I can't wait to see what she does for the rest of the series.

phenomenal
Asher is suddenly in need of a nanny that is fluent in ASL for his daughter for the summer. Phoebe is home early from grad school with nothing to do except keep a secret. She is fluent in ASL and a reluctant Asher agrees to hire her. Of course sparks fly between these two. But they have to overcome their age-gap (12 years), she is the nanny, and he works for her dad. The book wouldn’t be complete without a true twist.
Phoebe has to overcome people thinking she is too young to do a good job. She has to move past what people in a small town remember of her while also figuring out a new future. Asher can’t stand having Phoebe watching his daughter again after it ended poorly 6 years before. But as time goes on he realizes how strong the connection is for Phoebe and his daughter. Asher is the very best man and goes above and beyond. I can’t wait to go back to Sugarloaf for the rest of the siblings stories.
Well let’s be honest, I was a mess just from the author’s note. Corinne spoke from her heart as a parent of a child with a disability and it resonated with me. When Asher talked about his fear of his daughter not being able to communicate in her environment, it brought back all my fears for my own daughter as she entered school.

LOVE
I love Corinne Michaels.. the anticipated I had for the book was unbelievable… it didn’t disappoint with Asher being grumpy. I loved the ASL part of the story and I was just in awe over the whole thing! 5 stars!
