✨ single dad x nanny
✨ age gap
✨ grumpy x sunshine
✨ small town
✨ boss’s daughter - forbidden

Phoebe is back in Sugarloaf after an event in Iowa forced her home to figure out her next steps, when her dad offers her up to be a nanny for Asher Whitlocks daughter since she is fluent in ASL. But Phoebe has always been seen as the flighty girl and Asher is too grumpy. But soon when neither of them can seem to resist each other they have their own secret. But Phoebe is leaving soon and Asher can’t really be with his boss’s daughter, can he?

This was sooo freaking good. I flew through this in a couple hours. Phoebe and Asher’s connection and tension was one you won’t forget anytime soon. Asher wants what he can’t have, there’s too many reasons why they can never be. But when the tension becomes too much and it finally breaks they are hot enough to set the pages on fire

Corinne's men are top tier quality men. And Asher has joined their ranks.

Asher is not only a SWAT commander, but he is a single father to Olivia, co-parenting with his daughter's mother, Sara. When Sara gets an out of state opportunity she cannot pass up, Olivia needs to stay with Asher for the full summer. In need of a nanny that knows ASL, he finds himself in close proximity to Phoebe, his commander's daughter and the only one who knows ASL.

This book broke me apart and put me back together, and that is the beauty of Corinne's stories. Phoebe is so strong and attempting to overcome mistakes that occurred at her graduate school. She and Olivia click right away and I loved watching Phoebe fall for Olivia.

Asher loves with his whole heart and his protective instincts were in fully engaged with Phoebe. He could tell something happened and he wanted to protect her and love her. Seeing him fight, and then succumb to his attraction with Phoebe was catnip to me.

And when the plot twist occurs, Asher was the PERFECT book husband material. He was so loving and genuine, and seeing him set up to the moment was *chef's kiss*

This book is for you!

It was fine
There were parts I enjoyed, parts I didn’t. The ending definitely dragged.

This book was spectacular! I love Asher and Peobe so much! I also am in love with Olivia, she is absolutely precious. I haven't read many of Corinne Michael's books, but I want to read so many more after this one!

Also, did anyone else notice the Cloverleigh farms and the names that match up to Melanie Harlow's Cloverleigh farms? I love that series too lol

DNF at 60%. The tension wasn’t there. I’m all for age gap- I just didn’t believe it.
emotional lighthearted

This is my first book by this author and I loved it!!! I listened to it on audio and I think the narrators did a great job. I read this in one sitting. Didn’t get to bed till almost 2am because I couldn’t put it down. Loved these two characters and all the side characters. I can’t wait to read more in this series.
Tropes: age gap, nanny, single dad, forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine, great banter
