This is my first book by this author and I loved it!!! I listened to it on audio and I think the narrators did a great job. I read this in one sitting. Didn’t get to bed till almost 2am because I couldn’t put it down. Loved these two characters and all the side characters. I can’t wait to read more in this series.

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Asher’s childcare falls through, and in a desperate moment he hires his boss’s daughter - Phoebe, the daughter of the towns police chief who is going to school to be an audiologist. She’s perfect for his deaf daughter, but he can’t stand her from the start.
🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: I’m the first person to say nearly evvvvveryone is putting out this trope combination these days some are getting the mark, and this was one that I enjoyed.
The trajectory of this story wasn’t linear like we are used to. There were some very unexpected turns along the way to Asher and Phoebe’s happy ending. There were some really interesting non-traditional plot devices (trying not to spoil anything!) that went into this, and some tension-filled spice as well.
I’m usually a stickler for a female main character in these age gap romances to have a clear personality and to have dreams
Of her own, and I think Phoebe was a good example. And her relationship with Asher’s little girl was heartwarming to read as well.
Overall it’s a great read if you like the subgenre.

Forbidden Hearts by Corinne Michaels is an all new age gap, grumpy sunshine, single parent romance with alot of spice and alot of heart.
Everyone who knows me knows I'm in love with single dad romances and Corinne Michaels knoched it out of the park with this one. I loved the dynamic between Asher and his daugther's mother. I enjoyed their friendship and both their love for their daughter who is an absolute sweetheart.
I really loved how Phoebe was his only option as a nanny even though he hates her and didn't trust her at all. Their story was absolutely lovely and I enjoyed it so much I wish I could read it again for the fisrt time.

This is the first book of Corinne's that I have read, and it definitely won't be my last. She did a great job pulling me in from the first chapter. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Asher and Phoebe.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Broken Dreams to be released on December 1, 2023, so I can get Grady and Addison's story.
Zachary and Desiree did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
